Razer Deathadder on sale (AMZN)

Ordered this few hours ago. Says i'll receive it tomorrow. I love amazon!

I bought the Razer Taipan a few days ago and I just can't get used to it so i'll most likely be returning it

the deathadder is a great mouse, been using one since 2007. the build quality is not stellar. I'm on my third one (all failed due to worn out buttons) so I'm averaging a new mouse roughly every 2 years. no other mouse I've tried is as comfortable though so I keep coming back.

FYI best buy will price match amazon for those that want one right away instead of waiting on shipping.

Good to know. I bought a Corsair K30 as well. It's now out of stock. The price seemed pretty good ($39.99, lowest price so far).

Got mine a week ago, time to ask for a price adjustment. :)

Has been great so far, turned off both LEDs as I prefer the stealth look. I ordered a SteelSeries Sensei RAW earlier and it was a quick return. The scroll wheel on the Sensei was too loud. I also prefer the shape of the DeathAdder. The Sensei, like the Logitech G5, has awkward placement for my ring finger, which I find very uncomfortable.

I'd get one except for the bad reviews, particularly the many stating how theirs died within a few days/weeks of first using it. Razer products look sexy but are apparently poor quality. This seems to be true of all of their mice, at least, based on the reviews I've read at Amazon and NewEgg. =\

I am using a logitech G9X with the grippy shell. I got the DA 2013 edition. I will say that the sensor is definitely smoother then the G9x. The issue I had wit it was the form factor of the mouse made me have to palm it (I play claw style) I was also forced to hold it slightly to the left and it tweaked my wrist. I spend 3 weeks with it before deciding to send it back. Also the synapse software while a good idea in theory is not as fleshed out as logitechs software. While you could setup different configuration profiles, once you exit the game it retains the last profile it loaded. Unlike logitech which goes back to the default profile. If you can overlook the software quirks and grip its a great mouse, just wasn't for me..

Overall, the Deathadder is a pretty well regarded mouse. I've owned 3 and only one wore out after a few years of hard use. The ergonomics are great if you have normal-sized to large man hands. Don't buy it if you're one of those claw grippers with female-sized hands. The Copperhead is probably better suited for claw grippers, I hate that mouse.

I have been using Logitech MX500 and g series mice for 10 years now. My g500 is still going strong, but all of the positive things I have heard about this mouse make me want to try it. I had $8 on my amazon rewards visa and prime so I should have it thursday for $36.99 no taxes.
Was gonna try to get it ordered from bestbuy price matched but i sat on hold for 15 minutes and said screw it.
Thanks op!

You could have walked in store, they always price match as long as it's sold and shipped from amazon.

Store was already closed and I knew it was going to be sold out in the morning.

NP :) Waiting for mine to arrive!

My original deathadder is giving me some trouble I think, so I bought a new one. I think this one is about 7 years old.

Green lights. Why green lights. I love my blue lit adder but it's getting old. Oh well.

I read that you can turn off the lights on the scroll wheel and/or palm part with the software.

Man I didn't even realize my G500 is going for $80. Seems like this razer mouse is less about features like weights and extra buttons and more about accuracy; so hopefully trying something new after 10 years of MX500 series mice will be worth it.
I will know tomorrow!
