Ratpadz XT $25 w/Free Shipping

... Just wish it was bigger!

... Biggest difference is the thickness.
That's what she ... never mind. :p

Anyway, being a little more mature for a minute, I still have my Ratpadz that Kyle gave us a couple years ago at a [H]/AMD computer show in Dallas. I've been using it with my HTPC and it looks and feels as good today as it did from 2011.

I would get it for my main PC, but I use a sliding keyboard tray and there's no way the keyboard with the Ratpadz will fit in there, so I just use a standard mouse pad. I know, woe is me. :p

We used to buy all the mice on the market and test every year, but it just got the point where there were so many mice we could not keep up. :(

You could probably just test with the 5 or 10 most popular mice (wired and wireless) and that would probably make for a good representation of most mice.

FWIW, I have a wireless Logitech mouse (I don't remember the model # off the top of my head, but it's nothing fancy) and it works just fine on the Ratpadz.

Once optical mice got through their first 5 years, we finally stopped seeing any complaints.

Friend of mine that I told needs to order one is having some issues. When we click Add to Cart, it does nothing. We have tried on Chrome and IE. Any known issues going on or did you guys stop selling them?

Yes it is. Will get on this.

My pad is a bit dirty, what's the best way to clean it?

Can it be washed in the dishwasher?

I think I read on their site that they dont recommend using the dishwasher anymore but to use warm/hot water w/ some dish soap.

From their site:

How do I clean my Ratpadz™ Mousing Surface?

Simply use warm soapy water or a glass cleaner like Windex or 409. You can use more stringent cleaners but it is possible that they will wear the printing off the surface if it is a logo pad. We no longer suggest putting a Ratpadz in the dishwasher. Although if you must, we highly suggest you do not use any heated cycles. We also suggest cleaning your mouse often to ensure proper tracking. A quick dusting of the feet on both the GS and XT will return it to like-new gripping power as long as it is on a clean surface.

Was cleaning up my desk today and went to clean my RatzPad.... its starting to warp :/

I've used my Ratpadz a week, and I now know I will never use another type of mouse pad again! Pittsburg TX to near Pittsburgh PA 3 days,:D

Did you use the pledge trick?

Nope, crazy slick without it. Don't think I'd want it any slicker, but if it does start to slow down through use / dirt, I'll spray it with some Armor All (that worked better than Pledge on my old 3M Precise Mousing Surface)

Although curiously, I think I may end up bumping up the sensitivity of my mouse in games (compared to most people knocking it down when using this pad). My old pad (Ratpadz GS) had enough worn spots that the movement was inconsistent and having a higher speed led to lots of erratic movement.

Interesting.. I placed my order last Thursday, but all I have is an order confirmation.. Did you get a shipping confirmation, or did it just show up?

Mine just showed up, took about 5-6 business days

I've been thinking of replacing my XT with a new one. Is there a coupon or something to get it down to $20 shipped again?

My original [H] logo Ratpadz goes everywhere with me and, in a pinch, makes one hell of an ice scraper!

I killed a man with my Ratpadz once....then used it to dig the hole I buried him in! :p

I still have my Ratpadz XT after 4 years. It's still in as good shape as when I bought it. Thanks Kyle! LOL

The Ratpadz can probably make a good Kevlar-like vest in a pinch ... against BB pellets. :p

Okay, I'm still using my old Ratpadz. I even forget exactly when I ordered it (thinking it's been about 10-12 years though).

I have to manhandle it every now and again as it's fairly domed (thinking about finally just getting a heat gun and straightening it that way).

I just got mine early Feb. and it's doing the same thing. Mine is bowing upwards on the sides for some reason. If I gamed I would probably swap it out but as long as I stay sort of in the middle of the pad it doesn't make any noise. I bent it out but it just comes back a couple days later. Nice pad otherwise.

I have had mine for several years now, but mine has also bowed up in the middle as of 2 years ago. My mouse is always sliding off and sometimes hitting the floor..Great pad , but it has cost me one rat 7 mouse . I see now they are 25$ with free shipping
