Jan. 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific,2:00 p.m. Eastern. 150 W. San Carlos St., San Jose, Calif. A real-time video webcast of the showcase can be accessed via the Open Compute website.

With rise of tablet and smart phone, AMD will fade into oblivion.

I am not a fan of AMD but they won't die because it is not to Intel's advantage for them to die ... if it ever got down to the hairy edge then Intel might give them an infusion of cash (like MS did with Apple in the 90's) ... with no AMD Intel would be under such monumental anti trust scrutiny it would interfere with their business (like what happened to MS in the 2000's) ... AMD presents no market threat to Intel (unlike ARM and the mobility chip designers) so Intel would do everything in their power to keep them alive

No one has any faith in AMD. Look at the stock prices it rises over $4.25 and then drops like a rock back under $3.50. They could be doing everything right, and still be "gloom and doom." It's to bad, they make some nice products.

Also in b4 AMD sucks buy intel/nvidia.

Over 35% of Intel's revenue is coming from data center, so shrinkage of PC market has limited impact on Intel, but AMD is relied heavily on PC market.
