ESxi on Xeon E5-1600 series ?

I'm assuming if it's not on the supported list that may mean it's just not been tested ?

googled it and didn't seen any hits on issues. Was thinking of trying it out on a Precision workstation but found the proc. unsupported.(or at least not listed as supported)
 
Thanks for the reply. Good to know it's ok to use. I couldn't imagine what would be different in the 1600's to make them not work.

You see my forum name, it would be just my luck that there would be some issue with the workstation I just bought.
 
Yea based on that core its got VT-X and EPT on it thats usually the minimum standard as most of the ESXi softwares are 64bit. VT-D is an added bonus!
