Title has it, post your idle temps. Mine are WAY too high! Running on air, with a blower fan. EVGA GTX 680 4gb on a 1920x1080 I got 65C+

Thats pretty hot...My lightning when air cooled idles at about 36 and under a FAH load tops out at about 62

That's more than just a case fan issue. What's your ambient temp?

What else is in the case? You should be down near 35-45.

Could be an improperly mounted heatsink.

Also get and run GPU-Z to check the sensors. It's also possible your gpu is under load in a botnet mining some bitcoin equivalents.

Well the card has a blower fan and backplate. However the man who had the case before me put the fans in backwards so it's recirculating the hot air right at the CPU and gpu which is terrible. I gotta redo those so, I think that's the biggest problem. I think my CPU has too much compound but I haven't said anything really about that and I'm not too worried about it ATM. Ambient temps are kinda hot since the furnace is in my room but I've cut it off and ran again and got the temps 2 degrees lower. Still it's too hot, I think it also might be too high up, it's near the ceiling. I had no where else to put it for time being.

I just turned the system on with my hdd and OS. Nothing is happening except I'm running Evga precision X.

I have an EVGA GTX 780 and it idles at 26C and while playing WoW it doesn't go over 49C.. I can get it a touch over 70C with Furmark benchmark though.

Two 570's against each other here as of no extra space on the motherboard between the pcix slots.

Top card 42C - because bottom card blocking airflow - Hits 84C in gaming
Bottom Card 33C - Hits 80C in gaming

Stock coolers - HAF932 with two massive fans for intake and 4 120mm fans for exit.

Hope you get it worked out soon.

Thanks everybody, One fan was backwards and both werent running at full speed, I still dont think they are. The only place I had to plug them in was on an OD plug from the PSU, the other plug I used was only three pin, hadn't noticed. Still idleing at 55C roughly. Someone give me optimal fan placement on the Tt Commander MS-I case with three fans. I just gotta get more screws for the third fan.

Ditto for my 780 lightning, 26 at idle hooked up to 3 monitors.

I got mine hooked up to one big 48" I think but it's at 1080 HD ...l I think I messed that up on the original post. Is it the size or the quality of the monitor that effects the gpu, for reference sake.

Size of display makes no difference, it's the number of monitors that matters Most. My old 7970 idled at about 55 because it didn't clock down as low as my 780 when at desktop.

what's everyone's fan speeds at? I'm keeping mine at about 70% for the time being
