Looking for a game

I am getting back into PC gaming and I am looking for a good game to play. Looking for a shooter or some sort of action game to play. What is everyone enjoying now?
 
Bioshock Infinite and Deus Ex Human Revolution are both solid action games to take a look at.
 
Bioshock Infinite was easily one of the best games of 2013 and my favorite shooter of the year.
 
Deus ex:HR, Farcry 3, Skyrim, Fallout 3 & NV, The Witcher 1 & 2 just to get you started.
 
Borderlands and Borderlands 2. Some of the best games I've ever played.
It would help if you let us know how long you've been out of the scene, so we know how far back to go (Portal/Half-Life 2+).
 
When did you last play? What games did you last enjoy? What is your current system?
 
I updated my signature with my current system. I have been playing WoW for the past 3-4 years and haven't really playied anything else in that time.
 
I second Bioshock Infinite. I'm playing through it now and REALLY enjoying it.
 
Looks like a lot of Bioshock Infinite votes. I have been looking at Metro Last light is that any good?
 
Try Hitman Absolution. Its got a lot of things. I liked the game a lot and finished it in just couple of days.

metro 2033 is better than last light but they are both decent shooters
shadow warrior was probably my favorite shooter of 2013.
arma 3 is fun i you like multiplayer mil sims
Bioshock infinite is a great game but as far as the shooter aspect i found it to be rather blah.
 
Planetside 2, bioshock infinite, skyrim, to name a few. Download some demos and see what you like :)

Several pretty good shooters have come out recently......

Metro 2033 and LastLight, both well done and graphically beautiful.
Crysis 3, the price has dropped quite a bit.
Dead Space 1,2 and 3.......these are third person but really, really well done games. Scary in parts, runs DX9 so it's pretty easy on a system to run smoothly. I think I've played all of these at least twice, they have nice customizable weapons and some crazy enemies. They have a game+ feature, on the second go around you get to keep all the stuff you upgraded in the first run-through.
Bioshock Infinite is pretty good.....sort of cartoony, but the story is good...I liked the original more.
FarCry3 was pretty good graphically but the story to me was tedious and entailed a lot of running around the map for no real gains.
If you like semi-RPG-FPS, the new Deux-Ex Human Revolution is a really good game, and has a follow-on DLC for cheap that's fun.
Borderlands 1 and 2 are great games in their own right. Enormous world, "bazillions" of guns, lots of DLC, shit you could play one of them for months and never finish the damn thing.
 
Skyrim and Bioshock Infinite for single player, COD Battlefield4 for multiplayer
 
I just started Bioshock Infinite, good stuff. Natural Selection 2 is another good MP game if you want some twitch!
 
Dayz is fun but still in early stages of alpha. BF4 is great and you get to play with your friends. Planetside 2 is the best i love it.
 
I hated when I finished bioshock. Might buy the DLC. I haven't finished COD ghosts but the campaign seems good so far!
