Will my Seasonic 1000W Platinum handle this?

The TDP of the 290X is 250W so you should be fine absent overclocking, and given you're fluid cooling, I'm guessing you're overclocking. So you should get a beefier PSU.
 
Yes, I am planning to overclock the GPUs as much as possible but not the CPU.
 
Definitely gonna need more power than that for overclocking. I use a Lepa G1600 in one of my bigger boxes, was under 300 bux and a very good PSU.

For 3770k I think it would work out better with only 2 290x cards and 1000w PSU.
 
Yeah, definitely go bigger. My two 290's at 1125 and 3930k with an overclock push my 1000W pretty hard if they're all loaded up. KAW reading during BF4 is 900-960W, so factoring efficiency and how far off the KAW might be I'd say I don't have comfortable room for a third.
 
At a minmal would recommend 1250, espcially with overclocking. As i did a pull with two 280x gigabytes with a mild overclock and they pulled about 770w alone, with no OC on the CPU.
 
i have a mining rig with a 2core 54w 3ghz haswell, 3 290's at 975/1250 +20% and it reads 1050-1070w from the wall without any load on the cpu, just the gpu's
 
Thanks for the info - I think I'll use my killawatt to check what going from one 290x to two 290x's increases the wattage by and then decide if I should add a third 290x or get a new PS based on that.
 
FYI, I was able to use my Seasonic 1000W Platinum to mine with three 290x's. It pulled about 1030W from the wall, maximum. Hope it helps someone.
 
I was thinking this must be a minging setup, 3 290x will be drawing a lot from the wall and that's not a crossfire setup, you guys ears must be beaten up by the noise of these loud turbine fans.

r290 (x2) one unlocked to 290x
FX 8120
2-ssd
1-hdd
swiftech mcp 355 x1
corsairs sp120 (x4)
enermax fans (x3)
thermaltake bad fan (x1)
fan controller
dvd

average usage on watts with kill a watt 700-750 watts (while mining)
1000 watts wont cut it ( just think about it you have 10 more fans 1 extra pump and 1 extra card)

I would do 1200-1250
