I hate you, Newegg.

the last 3 times I ordered from newegg they marked it shipped and then didn't bother to actually ship it until 2-4 days later.

twice I paid for next day shipping too.

I will never spend another dime there, this last time I finally learned my lesson.

the last time i bought something there they did that to me as well...

so I just make use of a my prime account insteadd

I placed an order on Newegg Tuesday at like 4am. Still hasnt shipped.

Amazon is kind of screwing people over on the "One up your game" promo. They arent giving the $25 base trade value for the games that get upgraded, and Ive been going back and forth in emails to get it fixed. They are trying to say you have to trade as many eligible titles as it takes to get $25 trade in before they give the $25 bonus. Its pure BS.

I ordered 3 video cards from newegg monday around 2pm. Still hasn't shipped out. They told me wait a few more days.

Strange. I order from newegg all the time and use my ShopRunner account for free 2 day shipping. It's always lightning fast. I put an order in on Monday at 2:30pm and it was at my house less then 24hrs later. I live in CT and their east coast warehouse is in NJ.

Same experience this week with NE. Ordered Monday, got a shipping notice on Thursday, but the tracking number shows the item has not even been received as of 11am my time today. (east coast) The NE tracking app shows it is not expected to be delivered until next Tuesday. So much for shoprunner 2 day shipping. I expect them to at least give me an account credit....

How long are you guys waiting before emailing Newegg? Am I being unreasonable in being upset that my order is still in "packaging" going 48 hours? Reason I am getting real frustrated is if they push it off until Monday. . . Would I be out of line to email them and vent my frustration, seek some sort of compensation yet?

Why do I even have Shoprunner 2 day if it is going to take 2-3 days to even make it out of the warehouse. My Amazon order from yesterday afternoon is scheduled to arrive today as an fyi to Newegg. Just wish Amazon had these parts in stock.

I don't know. I was pissed a few days ago. Now when I think about it I feel like I'm having a stroke. I'm on hour 74.

I'm just trying not to think about how hard it's going to be for me to build my PC without zapping it... Glad I ordered an antistatic strap with it, just not sure how much that's going to help since the static electricity in my building in the winter is like a thwack with a stun gun.

Ffffffffffffffucking Newegg! *face melts*

LOL well you can do what I am doing. I wrote Newegg an email and now I am writing a letter to Shoprunner telling them that if their partners can't even guarantee a ship by date what is the point of having shoprunner? You use 2 day delivery because you want things fast. If I wanted them slow then I wouldn't be paying for a service to get them faster. . . Hurray I got my item in 8 days instead of 10?

Maybe if enough people bitch at Shoprunner someone will sit up and take notice over there and leverage that against them.

OMFG: Just got done emailing shoprunner and what do I see? A printed label for 1 of my 2 orders. Newegg still doesn't have it shown as shipped yet. . . We will see. Still pretty fucking stupid.

Haven't read the whole thread but I got "egged" this week. I bought a case on sale with free shipping. I clicked through to Paypal like I've done a few hundred times. Alas they threw me a curve. I see they now play games with the shipping and give a bunch of options for shipping while pre selecting a pay version. Where I would have clicked through and got the free shipping option as default - I got $10 shipping as default instead. So if you buy a free shipping item, Newegg assumes you want to pay anyway. I didn't even know I paid shipping until I saw bill in email. To the eggs credit they credited me the shipping when I called. However I see I can no longer make 7Am purchases while half awake assuming Newegg isn't playing games at checkout.

Typically the free shipping is a slow service so they assume you want the paid standard shipping. Amazon does the same thing.

The pay choice they preselect is also slow (says up to three days).

I'd consider 3-5 days standard. I've seen free service take as long as 9 days, newegg or amazon. UPS innovations, fedex smartpost, etc.. I remember back when DHL started this. They dropped out of competition and started shipping to the post office.

I typically go with free, regardless of the time but for the last 2 years ShopRunner has been renewing my membership for FREE. No complaints there! Shipping has been very fast with newegg using ShopRunner. Only downside is not everything qualifies for ShopRunner. Same goes for Tigerdirect.

But shoprunner is supposed to be 2 days, and for me it rarely is... ( I understand the two business days they can take to ship the items)

I ordered a mobo and cpu with free amazon shipping on Black Friday.

Got em both on monday.

Ordered a SSD early friday on NE the week before. Paid for next day. Got it Monday. Last time I ordered Egg they still shipped next day on saturdays. :(

Yea I don't get it. I've had good luck I guess but taking a week or more for 2-day delivery is pretty awful. I could see if it was a one off but sounds like many are having issues.

I am sorry but as a business if someone is wanting to use 2 day shipping and is paying for it(via paying for shoprunner or just flat out paying) that means they want it quickly. Currently Shoprunner shows that Newegg has processed the orders through them so at least labels are created. But at this point still not shipped so earliest I am expecting to see my orders is tuesday ~6 days from ordering. That is only if they get it out today. . . To me that is unacceptable for paying for 2 day shipping. At the very, very least Newegg needs to have a guaranteed by date if you get one or two day shipping even if that includes one or two days processing. The way it is now they just tell you to go stuff it.

What gets me the most upset though is when I contact their CS to find out if they can tell me if it will leave the warehouse today NO ONE can tell me. It is apparently impossible for them to find out wtf their warehouse is doing and were my order is at on the list. I had one CS rep go so far as to tell me "If you don't like it and need it ASAP cancel your order and go buy it B&M". . . Also told me it is impossible to change my delivery speed even though it hasnt shipped. . . God Damn I really hate Newegg right now.

I agree that Neweggs prices aren't as good as they used to be but for the most part they are still competitive. I think a lot of people just go used to some of the sick deals they used to offer in the past that don't come around near as often. As for their return policies and customer services I can't really complain too much. I am pretty careful to make sure things I purchase are compatible with one each other, not just relying on what Newegg's website indicates. However I recently purchased a PowerColor video card from their site (One of the 7870 Tahiti cards) that I simply could not get to work with my motherboard though it worked with another motherboard I had. Lets just say that PC's support was not very helpful and I returned it to Newegg for a complete refund. They even let me keep the AMD Reloaded game bundle I had already redeemed for free. I thenpurchased a different model video card from them and received another AMD Reloaded bundle with this card as well. I was expecting to have to pay for the game bundle out of the amount returned for the original purchase. I do think 30 days for returns is acceptable however not being able to get a refund isn't.

If people didn't abuse them they would still be great.

This is 100% accurate. People will buy a CPU and return it over and over until they get their magical and retarded OC and then cry when Newegg has to put in a restocking fee to slow down these people.

Still happy with Newegg. You pay sales tax in Kali to maintain liberal utopia. (-:

I wish Amazon hadn't suddenly become out of the motherboard while I was ordering it, forcing me to use Newegg.

Kinda sad. I wound up ordering my motherboard from Newegg and my toilet paper from Amazon at almost the same time.. My Newegg order is still sitting in "Packaging" and I'm already wiping my ass with the fresh toilet paper from Amazon.

If you used shoprunner consider sending them an email. Just figure the more people and pressure on this debacle the better. If I had known it would take so long I would have taken my chances elsewhere on 280x's coming into stock.

Wow, nice 3-year bump to this thread.

My recent NE experience. Last month, I ordered a new video card to upgrade my current one. It came DOA. I called them to RMA it and exchange it. Unfortunately, they wouldn't cross-ship. (Why not?!) So I returned the DOA video card (they sent me a shipping label, so it didn't cost me anything). After I confirmed my video card reached them, I got an e-mail that I'd get credited. I was wondering WTF. I called them and they said the video card is OOS, so they'll just refund me the $.

They initially withheld $50 b/c I also got the AMD Silver game credit for 2 free games. (Newegg told me to keep it and just return the card to get it exchanged.) After I called and complained, they refunded me the remaining $50 and also gave me $10 store credit for the hassle. Better than nothing. I would've preferred to get the video card, but oh well, so I'm still in the market for a new card.

NE should allow cross-shipping. Hell, even temporarily charge the CC until one returns the DOA/RMA'd card.

My buddy just called. The stuff he ordered on Monday, still shows in packaging. He just got a call from his wife that all his items were just delivered. I think things in the NE shipping dept are pretty messed up right now. So I call my wife to see if my order showed up. No dice. Come on Newegg!!! Hire some peeps to get this stuff shipped!!!!

What's funny is I was contacted by Shoprunner with a better explanation stating that NE has had bad weather problems and a huge increase in volume sold which is why they are slow on shipments. NE Customer Support couldn't even tell me that. . .

Well OnTrac (when did they start using them?) as of 30mins ago is holding the shipment and will "redeliver next business day". Could be the small snow storm (aka snow actually stuck to the ground) but they didnt even show up and ring the bell as I've been here all day so, redeliver my ass.

I live an hour or so from NE and they still take 3 days for 3 day saver... When Amazon is next day with 2 day shipping.

So, this is your reason for why Newegg has gone downhill, yet you prefer to buy computer parts from Amazon? Lol

Please explain to me how that works :p

Well, given many reports here and elsewhere, NE obviously can't handle branching out into those other markets. They used to be number one in computer parts then they went to carrying consumer electronics and now its an amazon wannabe.

Long time (15+ years) big customer (more than a dozen builds when I look at my order history) customer of newegg. I won't buy from them anymore at all. The real point of this post is to warn folks against buying big ticket items from them. Bought an expensive (over $1,000) Denon receiver from them two years ago. Was concerned at the time that they be an authorized dealer. Got it in writing and called newegg where they told me they were an authorized dealer. Six months later the receiver starts having problems. I call Denon and they tell me the warranty is covered because newegg is not an authorized dealer. Call newegg and this joker tells me they'll contact denon and take care of it - this is over a year ago now and it turns out they never even contacted denon despite numerous calls and assurances. Apparently this is not an unusual case. They have a history of getting their hands on high end stock through questionable means and the selling it out claiming to be an authorized dealer. You'd be safer buying off the back of a truck

For all the (many fewer these days) newegg apologists - no, it's not deon's fault. They have a legal contract in their warranty. Newegg committed fraud by advertising themselves as an authorized dealer when they were not. I've got a small claims case going in va on exactly that point. Now newegg sells under the "world wide stereo" line. DON'T TRUST IT. Even if they're an authorized dealer now, they could have that pulled at any time, and don't expect them to tell you. Newegg is happy to screw their long time customers over a single sale if it will make them money. Sad, they were once a great place for hardware, now they're a clip joint living off that long dead reputation and the support of a few remaining fanboys.

Well my order still has not shipped that I ordered on 12/4 with 2 day shipping. Anyone else get their packages yet?

My tracking number issued 12-5 finally showed movement last night. (NE finally delivered it to UPS for shipment) Sitting on a number for 3 days is just bogus. The item was ordered on December 3rd. The tracking shows it will not be delivered until Wednesday the 11th. (this was supposed to be 2 day shoprunner service!!) I notice the 2nd video card I ordered is shipping out of Newark and has a Fedex number. Does the Egg always use both services? (UPS and Fedex) Both orders are shoprunner shipping. Overall a dismal customer experience. I chatted again with a CSR and they let me know they were not authorized to give any account credit due to the lengthy order fulfillment. (please be patient, please wait) I still intend to email the CS dept and inquire regarding a credit for my troubles....

the small amount of RAM that best buy carries on their website along with mobos and most psus are now cheaper than newegg. Crazy right?

Wow that is completely ridiculous.

and they really could give a shit less when I talk to them. I have tried emailing(no response), chat support gives me a standard quote of we need so much time for processing there is nothing we can do, I am going to try calling again today but when I called the line last week it would hang up on me once I got on hold and could never connect.

If you have any luck with this please let me know. I emailed them on Friday but have yet to get a response despite the email I got stating you will have a response within 24 hours.

Edit: Also let us know who you contacted for resolution. I went through Order Status but that might have been a mistake.

Will do, but it will be at least Wednesday before I email them. The priority right now is to get the items to my house. ;)

That stinks. But did you ever check Denon's website to see if Newegg was an authorized reseller of their receivers? In the end, that's all Denon would care about.
