Steam 2013 Thanksgiving sale is here! runs from November 27 to December 3

Still on the Fence about State of Decay...I'd feel a lot better if it were $5 because people are so polarized about the game. It's either really great or a huge steaming pile of trash. Not sure which side of the fence I'd fall on...but I tend to be pretty forgiving so I'd probably find the positives in it.

played it for several hours today. with pc graphic tweaks in .cfg file, game looks great and i'm having a blast with it.

It's good for a few hours, but eventually you realize how repetitive it is.

No more repetitive than any other game. Over 50 hours in and the game is still fun although I'm taking a break to catch up on some other titles but the game provided more than what I paid for it.

Any thoughts on Deadpool @ $10? I'm actually surprised it's 75% given Activision's approach towards discounting games...

If you like the character it's worth it for that. It's not a very good game though.

I picked up Deadpool for PS3 download for $20 from Amazon the other day. The game play is medicore, but I haven't laughed that hard playing a game in a long time. I was happy at $20, $10 would be awesome if you like insane games

I didn't think Fez was too bad, especially at a discounted price. I played it for a good few hours probably got to 50% too, but then got annoyed at a couple levels so quit, but for a few bucks, I put in a good amount of time. Pretty fun game play.

of course Wolf Among Us goes on 33% sale the day after I buy it (I havent even played it yet, was about to start playing now)

Apparently you've never used Steam before now, but the info on how to avoid this pain was in the OP. Patience apparently isn't a strong trait of people in these parts.

I don't know if anyone is looking to buy it but Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 will apparently be 50% off tomorrow.

I have used steam for 10 years. I knew it could have gone 33% but since its a new game it could have stayed at 15%. I took the gamble and lost. Its not a big deal, I think I can deal with $5. I actually have tons of patience because I have been wanting to buy it since last thursday and waited till sat (was suppose to play it yesterday but other plans happened)

So Deadpool is worth it? I am ok with mediocre gameplay but have just too many damn games installed and unfinished right now (over 60)

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

You're doing pretty good, actually. You should see some of our lists.

then you have not learned anything about sales in 10 years. there is no reason to take a gamble or worry if its not going to have a daily deal or flash sale as you can simply buy it on the last day if it does not.

lol yes. 60 is just installed. Have about 250-300 on Steam that are unplayed (out of about 480), another 15 or so on Origin and about 5 on Uplay. I decided to not shell out money on games this summer unless I finish my backlog. Guess what? I keep shelling money and backlog doesn't finish. This steam sale, however, purchased absolutely nothing thus far.

I honestly get a small anxiety attack when I think about my backlog of games. I am trying to get through them but its like I am not making a dent.

A very familiar story. :)

Then you're doing better than I am! I haven't done the damage that I have during previous sales, but Far Cry 3 and a bunch of indie titles told me I had to buy them. What is a guy to do? :(

Not when you finish 1 game and buy 5 more. I know man, I know. We need a support group.

I'm pissed that I bought Ninja Storm 3 on PS3 and then they release Full Burst with all the stuff the original game should have had...and on PC, no less.

I just had to quit playing Outlast because I was so freaked out.

Where is Fez when I need him?!

Pretty meh this year.
Picked up FarCry3 and Godus yesterday. Got Reus today.

Had a chance to play with Godus for a half hour or so last night. It looks better than it is; the primary objective is to sprain your finger from clicking too much. Maybe it will get better though, it is beta and I am only a half hour or so in. I was hoping for something more like Populous or Powermonger though. Definitely not worth $10 yet, hopefully when it goes final it will be much improved.

In for Metro LN and its SP. Waiting for flash on Dishon:BW and Chiv: DW but won't hold my breath.
I suppose it's safe to say that there won't be sales on the Bioshock:I DLC.

Kids were bugging me for Terraria. Looks a bit like 2D Minecraft. Comments?

I will answer for requiem99 - It is trash. Nothing more to say.

On a serious note, it is worth the $5 that I always see it on sale for. I like Minecraft better but still put a decent amount of hours in Terraria. It is MC but just a side scroller.

I have not played Terraria myself, but I know a few people who have. They all really like it.

I used to go nuts on these sales but now i'm more selective given how big my steam list is, haha.

So far I bit on ff7 and Farcry3.

From what I've read, it's not going to change....it was built for mobile platforms from the get go - mainly game mechanics such as having to click on buildings to collect resources all the time. Molyneux hasn't made anything worth playing for a long, long time. I passed up the Kickstarter as soon as I saw who was behind it.

I loved the original GRID, but I read that GRID2 wasn't like GRID at all.
