BlackFriday SSD and HD Deals!

I wouldn't touch an OCZ unit right now to save my life.

Toshiba is in talks to buy their assets, but that doesn't mean
they will, or that they have to honor any of their warranties.

In other words, if its dead, you might be SOL

^^ this. you can't be sure any kind of warranty will be honored on any OCZ gear.. buy at own risk!

Fwiw, I have a vertex 4 drive and have had zero issues in the past year if ownership. They had a bad rep with their earlier drives but they ironed out all the kinks with these new vertex 4 drives. They are using an entirely different nand.

Also that is not a good deal on the seagate. It was 99 on Thursday midday.

Ditto on the Vertex 4. bought one last year with no issues. Also running a Vertex turbo with no issues

Yeah Amazon lowered the price a few hours after I posted that.

Edit: and apparently it's up to $115 again.

You do know they just filed for bankruptcy, right. Hardly matters what they're using now if they won't be around to service the warranty.

GIven many deals hover just over 50 cents / gig any OCZ drive should not be considered unless 25 cents / gig, if it goes out on you, you are going to be screwed , take risks accordingly.
