Corsair Stuff Cheap

Anyone have experience with a refurbed cooler? I would think the refurbished ones are probably more reliable than new ones? Anyone have any input?

There are tons of refurbs out there. I have an h60 refurb, and it works fine. My 4930k rarely hits 70c under load, 40c idle. I probably wouldn't have bought one for $60 bucks, they were $35 at fry's.

I think their refurbished coolers only have a 30-day replacement only warranty.

Just so everyone knows, you get no discount for 4 pieces, only at 3 pieces and 5 or more.

The cart appears to be broken.

I'm only able to add 1 item at a time and the contents is not saved between so it's impossible to take advantage of the promo deal.

If you check the warranty page it lists refurbs at the bottom. Looks like you get a year on cases, coolers and PSUs, which is pretty solid. I'd never buy an SSD or memory with a 30 day warranty... that's crazy.

I need to upgrade my PSU since I want to go Crossfire 290x soon (rocking a HX650 right now), should I bother with these refurbs? Any recommendations?

For some reason the links take me to no products, happens on any browser I use.

The H100i for $60 is tempting. I was pretty set on getting a Cooler Master Glacer 240L, but $60 is pretty cheap. No mention that I can see on the warranty of the refurbished coolers though. Am I blind?

damn the corsair link isn't on sale, (wanted to add it on to my H100)

OK, from the warranty page:

Took some wrestling, but I finally got everything to show up in my cart at once. Had to start with the PSU, then say "continue shopping" from inside the cart, and add things one by one. Hope this helps. Bad ass deal on a PSU and those super expensive sleeved cables.

Purchased an H100i and have just now discovered that the Corsair Link software does not work in 8.1. Corsair has been aware since Jan-2013 and have still not fixed the issue.

Awesome!

I bit. Funny, I have been combing the F/S thread for a H100i & a 1000w+ psu the last few weeks. Grabbed both.

Looks like I'm picking up the hx1050 and cable pack... 750d is a nice case have one sitting behind me for a customer build, highly recommend it..

The 300R is very tempting but I'm not sure how nice a refurb case would be.

I got a refurb 300R last round of sales, really liking it. Only evidence that it wasn't brand new was you could see where a PSU had been bolted in.

No dents, scratches or anything weird like rivets that have obviously been redone or anything. If being refurb is you're only hang up I say go for it.

Picked up a set of sleeved cables for my oldish AX850 for $17.50 + $5 ship! :D

Will these cables work with a Seasonic X850W? I know that SeaSonic build the AX series PSU's for Corsair, and the SS X series just use a standard modular style plug on each end....I would really like to get some nice cables for it...Any help would be great!

For some reason my credit card always gets declined on corsair.com. No sleeved cables for me. :|

You don't have more then one? No debit card?

I ended up ordering 3 different sets, 2 black and 1 white for the AX (750 and 850W) which are SeaSonic built units..I figure 1 of the three will work, and I can always resell the other 2 dirt cheap...It was actually cheaper to order 3 sets then 2 thanks to the discount and the pricing on them...

I have a debit and a credit; they both get declined.

I seem to recall this happening when I tried doing an advanced RMA. I think Corsair charges the card from Canada, and that's some sort of red flag for my stupid bank.

Some of the cables work, but some don't. The wires are keyed different.

Can you elaborate? Like do you mean that the AX cables will work with the X850W fine, but not with other models..

Or do you mean that "some" of the AX cables will work with the X850 (say like the 24pin ATX power cable) while others (say the SATA power cables) will not?

They were going OOS quickly, so I took a chance and jumped on them..

Some of the AX850 sleeved cables will work with the Seasonic, but not the whole kit. I don't know which ones exactly.

Thanks for seeing my PM and getting back to me UW! I somehow missed that thread when Googling last night, but at least some of them will work outta the box..The only thing I will have to go is pop the Corsair Connectors off and replace them with the SeaSonic ones for the 24 pin and 8 pin..Still a lot better then having to sleeve an entire set..

There is also a *SLIGHT* chance I might get lucky since I have the rev 3 of the X850, which is slightly different then the rev 2 that has different shaped sockets..

All in all it was worth $48 bucks for 3 complete sets of sleeved cabling (including shipping)..I can offer the other 2 sets to someone dirt cheap and then everyone wins.
