TD OCZ Vertex 128GB 2.5' SATA III SSD TOTAL DEFENSE $50

$60 + $30 MIRs + TD = no go for a lot of people. Good deal if you like TD and can handle floating large rebates.

Actually, there is a $60TD Rebate in the form of a prepaid card only usable for ebay or TD and then a $30 OCZ rebate.

You'll be spending $139.99 for a 128GB SSD. Have fun with that.

Well, I have not bought anything from TD in a loooong time. but, I never had any problems with them. I'd say if you were looking to upgrade your machine and were willing to buy from TD then, its a pretty hot deal. I don't know anywhere else you'd get an SSD for $0.40/GB let alone $0.23/gb. if you use V.me

It is really a matter of preference. I can't say whether or not TD is a bad place to buy. All my experiences have been good with them. I can say this; for all the NewEgg bashing that goes on, I have NEVER had a bad shopping experience from there. So, I can only make the assumption that stereotype could be at play, that and, really, many more people that have had a bad experience somewhere are far more likely to to comment than someone having had nothing but good experiences. Also, someone having nothing to complain about over many deals will only begin to comment after having had a bad experience.

it really could be they score a 9 out of 10 from millions of deals...maybe...

If I needed an SSD, I'd probably give it a try. Especially if I needed and SSD and maybe some RAM or a video card. Just saying, YMMV
