Call of Duty TXAA for AMD Radeon?

Hi, I have a question, I had noticed that Radeon users can't select the TXAA option on Call of Duty Ghosts, yet I am able to select it and use it, does it have something to do with the fact that I have a hybrid AMD/nVidia setup? Is it another feature locked exclusively with nVidia hardware that works fine with Radeon hardware like Batman Arkham Asylum AA mode?

Most likely the game sees the Nvidia driver but doesn't know it's not the rendering card so it's allowing you to select TXAA, My guess is that if you tried to use it, you'd either got the base MSAA or no AA at all as TXAA has certain hardware requirements that only Kepler has.

I do notice differences between AA modes, after all TXAA is just standard MSAA with a shader based filter. If the shader based filter uses standard DX API for the resolve, or DirectCompute for that, it should run on AMD hardware with no problems, If it uses the NVAPI, then its another history. But seems to be that it is working, it looks better than FXAA but slightly worse than standard MSAA, SMAA causes blurrying.

After I updated the game with the latest patch, the option went away, so it means that without patches, the TXAA option will be available to Radeon/Nvidia hybrid setups, that also means that only the NVidia DRM is preventing TXAA to run on AMD hardware, just like when happened with Batman Arkham Asylum AA(tm)

Even if you see it, it's not possible that it's functional unless you're rendering on NVIDIA hardware. It's a library that requires data from the NV driver to function.

^yeah, it uses CUDA functionality therefore it won't work even if the option appeared.
