Corsair Graphite Series 230T Compact Mid-Tower Review - Corsair has been known for RAM for well over a decade now, but it has become a big player in the computer case market in the last few years. The Corsair Graphite Series 230T ATX case is designed for "fast and straightforward system building, by design." Its list of features is impressive, so let's see how it hold up under pressure.

I really like the color on this case, nice review guys.

I haven't seen any place selling a windowless version of the orange or grey cases. The Corsair site only mentions "windowed" orange and grey versions.

Here is the pdf install guide for those interested.

The solid side panel version can be special ordered by resellers. So if Amazon or Newegg or somebody wants orange solid side panel versions, we can do it.

Also, if somebody buys a windowed version and then decides they want to get rid of the window for it, we'll have the solid side panels on our web site.

I've used the 200R for a few builds and really like it except for a few minor quibbles, and this thing addresses those. This will most likely be my go-to case for the foreseeable future. For quality and features per dollar it is really hard to beat.

The aesthetics, performance and price make the Corsair 230T quite appealing. Hopefully availability will be resolved prior to a quote due date on my plate. Thanks for the evaluation, [H].

When I put my last PC together in 2009 I chose a Cooler Master case, but while I was at the store I walked by one of the Corsair cases which were on display at the time and I thought it looked pretty good. Seems like they've improved on that. After reading this review, plus hearing positive things from owners, I'll probably settle on a Corsair when I'm building the new system in 2014.

Not the case for DIY loop watercooling.

The price is about the only thing that would make this case appealing to buy.
(coming from someone who has an 800D and a 600T)

I'm still waiting for this case to show up in Canada. The grey version is available, but the orange only from the place with chickens.

That being said, the mod-ability is actually quite good. Where the 200R doesn't have much clearance inside the front panel for two fans for a 240mm radiator, this case might address that. I've done the 360mm rad mod on the 200R, and hope I can do it more easily on this sucker.

Nice review, as always, Steve-o the news guy :)

I'm very confused. The article indicates that the 230T case was tested with cpu cooler like the 165mm tall Thermalright SilverArrow SB-E Extreme and the 166mm high Nzxt Havik-140. Yet Corsair lists the maximum cpu cooler height as 160mm, a number that seems confirmed by other reviews.

Has anyone actually installed a cpu cooler taller than 160mm and closed up the case?

Gunna necro this thread to give this lil cheap case its props. Got it at Frys for 65 bucks recently when looking for something low cost that didn't turn into a robot, would fit my old H90 and give my workhorse of a 2600k a nice pasture to grow old in.

Not really a fan of the color, but price and functionality are fantastic with this case. Good space under the motherboard standoffs, excellent room behind the mobo, nifty ziptie spots everywhere, and the cheap-o looking plastic SSD tray thing actually works pretty well, and gives room for cable hiding if the drives are placed backwards in it.

Pics are 4 platter drives (2 WD 2TB blacks, some ancient 500 gig maxtor, and a 500 gig platter out of a laptop in the plastic SSD slot ) .... my old gigabyte ga z68a-d3h-b3 rev 1.3, 2600k loafing along at 4ghz, 8 gigs of ddr3, corsair h90, and the just wont die 560ti...and some EVGA powersupply that was given to me by a friend.

Temps stay under 40c at all times with the wimpy oc and +.15v on the chip.

Dont dig the colors really but excellent case for the price.
