Anyone still playing swtor? I just got back from Afghanistan and all the people I played with are gone. I really like the game but playing alone is a bit boring!

Allow me to say welcome back , glad you are safe and sound. Now for the bad news...

Since SWTOR has gone to F2P its .. kind of fragmented the community. Until you hit level 20 its not bad but then it gets a bit to heavy on the buy to play end of things.

I tried like hell to stick with SWTOR but I just couldn't. I hear the PVP is also still quite boring. At this point I'm not sure I would bother playing it unless you had a nice sized crew to roll with. Doing it solo is pretty boring.

Thanks a lot its good to be back. I have played since beta so I understand how you feel. The new updates have made things more interesting and PVP has changed a lot.

I love the world they made around the game, the conversations and plots, but when you get to lvl 50 its... boring, yeah, they've got some new "dungeons" and the pvp it's not that boring as in the beginning, but still, it lacks a lot of content.

Maybe in my head I compare the game too much with WoW because I spent too many years playing it, but anyway, the devs of SWTOR failed at getting the people entertained in the high end.

They should strip the mmo aspects out and re-release as a single player game. Its a decent rpg.

I loved this game, not gonna lie.

And then it went F2P. Didn't touch it for close to a year.

Started back up again with the fiance. Like Godmachine said, after level 20 it just smacks you in the face hard with little things you need to buy to make it the way it was before it went F2P. I was an avid player before FTP, and it was a huge slap in the face for them to take most of the things that made the game fun for myself, and put a price tag on them.

Haven't touched it in a long time, but I can definitely see this as a "play for a few days, then put it down for a few months" kind of game now.

Id buy it never really saw the point of the MMO anyways if Galaxies couldnt pull it off and that had Sony behind it....

I just got back into it last week and I'm having fun. I bought it first day and played for 6 months, then I had a lack of time.
I'm on Prophecy of Five.. look me up

Reventon

Does that go away if you pay the monthly subscription?

I have it installed. My room mates ditched it for the new wow patch. If your looking for someone to play then hit me up.

Im on the server Prophecy of the Five
I have 2 characters
Level 30 Sith Marauder on Alderaan
Level 17 Jedi Guardian on Taris

Fair enough I'd say. In games like LOTRO all the store spam stays the same even if you are on the monthly sub. Kinda fair enough since you need a lot of store stuff even if you have a sub.

The system SWTOR implemented is definitely fair, no question. However, the way they have it implemented, unless you're a subscriber, makes this game more of a casual one as opposed to anything else.

That fact that you can sell all the cartel stuff makes it pretty fair. Subscribers get a good way to make money and non-subscribers get content for in game grinding.

Well for anyone who is interested I have multiple characters on multiple servers.

The Bastion:
54 Sage
38 Guardian
18 Sniper

Jedi Covenant:
50 Assassin
50 Marauder
33 Commando
11 Sniper
10 Bounty Hunter

I would be willing to try other servers as well and make a new toon or two.

This whole post is kind of silly.. if you just kept subscribing the way you did before it went F2P, absolutely nothing changed except you get some free in-game currency (Cartel Coins) every month to spend on whatever.

As Godmachine mentioned, F2P has fragmented the community. It's a much more different 'atmosphere' than before it went F2P. So yes, things did change. Whether you subscribed or not

Well if you guys do want to play I have a character I am playing on The Bastion named Kaoshan.
