Haven't played much, but having a hard time telling people from terrain. Beautiful game.
 
Can anyone please recommend a AMD video card that will 100% play this game now that it's been released? I'm still not sure what video card I should use for my system:

- CPU = AMD FX-8350 Vishera @4.0GHz
- RAM = Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 32GB DDR3
- GPU = ???
 
I'm getting artifacts. gtx 760 pny factory oc. Should I try to slow the card down?
 
Am I the only one who is disappointed? I'm on a 2600K, 6970 and Windows 7 x64. I know my video card is dated, but I'm playing on medium. I'm fine with the frames per second I'm getting, but the game itself just seems a bit off. People I shoot don't die, people who shoot me kill me extremely fast. I'm on ~50 ping servers and people seemingly see me much earlier than I see them or something.

On top of that, when I'm in a helicopter there's an unbearable stutter that happens every five seconds or so. It isn't a frames issue, more like a latency issue, but my ping is typically less than 50.

I'm sure this game is fantastic when it runs properly, but what I'm experiencing right now is fairly poor. I've been playing these games since BF2 and BF:V, so I have plenty of experience.

Oh, and what that guy said earlier about there being too many vehicles: too true.
 
Anybody with a GTX 680 or GTX 680 SLI? If so, what are your FPS and what resolution and quality?

I've got 2 OC'd 670 FTWs (Faster than stock 680s) - I can tell you in a few hours.

Stupid work is getting in the way of my game time. Shoulda called in sick today, lol.

I'm running a 680 GTX OC on a 30" (2560x1600) everything on Ultra settings. Im gettin 40-mid 60's fps. MSAA is off...haven't had time to play with the settings just yet. Game runs way better than the beta, smooth as butter for me.

So I should probably be fine to play at 1920x1080 on ultra (and possibly with MSAA on) would no problems?
 
I will fucking use that. I hate that I would have to move my browser over there, but goddamn that's cool.
 
Anyone know how to make assignments... work? Does not seem like they are working yet. :rolleyes:

Normally I would not care, but they put certain weapons in them. Looking at my bronze assignments, some have requirements like killing 10 people with assault rifles. I just killed 20 of them the last game. Yet it still shows 0/7, or 0/10 ect.

You mean facts? Takedown may have been a major let down, but at least even they could sync animations and damage to where they actually hit. It was one of the primary reasons I never got into BF2. Hit detection, animation is a horrible joke in BF4.

Playing on a Dell Ultra Sharp U2711 @ 2560x1440 with every setting at Max. Including x4 MSAA.

60-80 FPS in SP with SLI'd 680's 2GB versions @ 1267mhz with boost. Unfortunately I experience random FPS drops into the low 30's and sometimes even mid 20's. It's not something that happens often, but it does happen.

Multiplayer runs fine.

Rest of my setup is

I7 3770k @ 4.6ghz
32 gigs of ram
256 GB Kingston HyperX SSD (BF4 is on this drive)
2TB WD Caviar Black in Raid 0

BF3 ran flawlessly on my system. 100+ FPS with every setting at Max.

I plan on getting Windows 8 to increase my performance.

BF4 looks friggin incredible, but I still think Crysis 3 is the king. Graphically speaking.

During the beta I had lots of rubber banding going on in game and it would take sometimes up to 5min to join a server. Have these issues been fixed?

I think I might just stick with PostAA - I like the framerate bump (usually in the high 60's and 70's on my 120 Hz monitor) and image quality for leaves/shader aliasing. I really wish this game had native SMAA like Crysis 3 - that shit's like magic (low performance hit, great image quality, no blurry textures).

Honestly Post AA on Medium is fine to me, more fps is better, it really doesn't look that blurry I think it looks better.
 
Been messing around with SP. I noticed that (test range) my joystick doesn't work. Is it safe to assume we have the whacky USB issues that BF3 had (prevented you from using a joystick outside of the #1 slot or something, I can't recall .. you couldn't use rudder pedals + throttle + joystick)?

Sad if they didn't fix that.

There were a ton of lag issues yesterday, but I think that was due largely to the number of people activating with VPN and then not being aware that they had to turn it off after they activated their game. There were lots of people with insane pings.

Today, not a single issue.

No, get yourself a nice Korean S-IPS 27" and an el cheapo for the second monitor. Yes the battle screen LOOKS cool but you may not use it all that much in practice, and its not worth sacrificing your primary display over. Trust me here.

Why? People have got no business playing commander if they aren't familiar with the game yet. I think I hit lvl10 after like 90 minutes of playing so not a big deal. Hell it should be level 30 minimum afaic.

Because I'm selfish like that lol...I logged over 100 hrs of Commander during BF2 and I'm excited to see them bring it back.

Me playing like a general for my team. Telling squad leaders where to go, dropping supplies and airstrikes anywhere on the map. In BF2142 a good commander really made a difference. Especially with airstrikes and taking out a mech or tank in a chokepoint.

Also getting a scan of enemy locations was pretty nice. Gives those playing a nice idea why they are being sent where they are.

The trick is really having competent squad leaders to pass orders on to their squad.

Follow these orders and get bonus points.
 
Finally got Battlelog on my Nexus 7, as it turns out there is a website that will rip packages of free programs from Google Play if they are blocked (stupid auto correct) on your device, or if play store is blocked. It doesn't quite look right, but the battlescreen works and that is all that matters to me.
 
I have not even been able to play this garbage known as BF4 because I keep getting the "You were disconnected from EA online [1]" error message.

WHAT THE FLYING FUCK!?! BF3 runs no prob on my machine. I have win7 64bit, a Titan GPU with the latest drivers installed. I have been googling for a solution but so far have found nothing that works/helps.

Anybody else get this shit to work after having a similar error message?
