Catalyst 13.11 beta7

It installed Raptr automatically and some other dock? I didn't see an option to disable it in the wizard...

My God, I just installed the V6 yesterday! Any release notes?

Same, installed beta 6 yesterday to prep for bf4, looks like I will need to reinstall. release notes:

Includes all Feature Highlights of the AMD Catalyst 13.11 Beta6
Increases AMD CrossFire™ scaling up to an additional 20% for Battlefield 4

Thanks, this definitely applies to me, downloading now.

Did you do the express install? On mine it had some text saying if you didn't want Raptr to use the custom installation.

WHat problem? I only had a problem with second GPU going to 99% load.
Version 5 had all 6 fans singing when under load. With that driver, this system got loud. Its back to normal with this version.

Just wondering how you guys install this usually. Do you just install over the drivers and Catalyst versions that are currently installed? Or do you remove current drivers and reinstall the whole thing?

i also like that it has an in-game IE overlay

no more alt-tabbing to the desktop and crashing the game you are playing.

I just install drivers over the last one, nothing fancy, no problems to speak of.

uggh i just finished installing windows 8.1 pro and beta6 two hours ago in preparation for battlefield 4!
that being said...
downloading now....

just finished updating from beta6, installed overtop, no issues, quick and painless... even saved my eyefinity presets

Why...Also just did a fresh windows 8.1 install and beta6 install..Grr installing now..Funny thing is we all complained about amd drivers and now were complaining because there making new and better ones every 5 mintues lol..

This is a VERY important couple weeks for AMD, they can't afford to drop the ball on BF4, which is driving sales of a LOT of new cards...and with the Nvidia price cuts, it became even more critical to execute well.

Plan on getting a R9-290x as soon as the aftermarket coolers versions start shipping so its good to see the drivers are getting better while I'm waiting.

Just wanted to update after installing these drivers and played a couple hours of BF4 mp (64vs64). I averaged around 80+ fps on ultra with 2xMSAA at 1600p. Compared to beta which I was averaging around 45 with beta2 drivers.

Grrr..... With vsync disabled I get 90+ FPS almost constantly. With vsync enabled I get 40FPS max..... I'm playing with ultra settings (no MSAA, low Post-AA, Super-sampled to 115%) at 1440p using CFX'd 7970s. Is anyone here using a similar setup and experiencing this same issue?

exact same issue, crossfire 7970s - without Vsync I'm getting 80-110FPS on ultra quality - turn Vsync on I get 35-40fps.

Sucks.

What sucks more -- seems they have fucked something else up in the drivers because if I have my secondary 27" monitor plugged in via HDMI, system will crash upon boot up. Take the HDMI plug out and it works just fine.

Basically - if I want to play with both GPUs, I have to have Vsync off (so I get tearing), and I can't use my other 2560x1440 monitor now for the battlemap because AMD's drivers suck ass.

I'm really really tempted to say fuck team red next time - every driver they release fixes one thing, and breaks two others. You would think a company worth billions and that just released the hottest (no pun intended) video card for the hottest game would NOT have their drivers in beta status. I love the raw power of my 7970s in xfire, but every way I turn I'm limited some how.

Oh yeah -- I can only run one, no both my displays at 96Hz (custom refresh) because of the limitations of HDMI. Even though I have two DL-DVI ports ,I can't use the one on the 2nd video card because fuck all.

Getting more and more pissed at AMD every day because of crap like this, it's been like this for YEARS it seems.

enable tripple buffering, should fix the issue.

which issue specifically - the 80FPS to 30FPS vsync issue? or the others I've mentioned?

Edit/update -- already checked, triple buffering was already set to "On" and I'm still having the issue.

same here.. should have just waited for release date and avoid all this headaches, vpn to play earlier was a pain already, better just wait a few more days

with beta 5 everything was fine except having insane stuttering while moving the mouse..

Shitty workaround: Disable frame pacing for the the bf4.exe and use a 360 controller. Disabling frame pacing sends the FPS back up to 60 but the mouse movement is still fairly irregular.
