For those that don't know, the game runs terrible on Nvidia at the moment. Lots of bad stuttering that makes it unplayable on my GTX 670. I am not talking low frame rates (that they are to), but bad stuttering.
They need better drivers or a couple of patches, but it is a beta. Just putting this out there as at the moment it isn't a good way to test how your PC runs with the game.
Does BF4 still use that crappy browser based UI like BF3?

It is browser based still, but it has been improved for BF4. I had a problem with the browser based server browser in BF3 originally, but it grew on me and I honestly don't have any problems with it anymore and sometimes I even prefer it. I don't think I can convince you otherwise though. To each their own!
I wasn't a fan of it either at start but I'm quite a fan of it now... external player customizations (changing your kits, adding emblems, etc.) and the fact you can now launch your in-game, full size, battlemap on a second screen is amazing.

So it recommends a 6 core and not a 4 core. Does it actually use 6 cores?

Well speak for yourself. i5-3570k, GTX680, Win8.0, 1440p, latest 331.40 beta driver and smooth 60FPS for the past few days, no problems and game is a blast.
