For those that don't know, the game runs terrible on Nvidia at the moment. Lots of bad stuttering that makes it unplayable on my GTX 670. I am not talking low frame rates (that they are to), but bad stuttering.

They need better drivers or a couple of patches, but it is a beta. Just putting this out there as at the moment it isn't a good way to test how your PC runs with the game.

The fact that I have to install Origin is the reason I am hesitating/not downloading this should say something.

Try the Beta driver on the sticky on the BF4 forums. I had the same issue before I installed the beta drivers. I am also running a 670. There are still stutters here and there, but it's way better than non-beta drivers.

Does BF4 still use that crappy browser based UI like BF3?

It is browser based still, but it has been improved for BF4. I had a problem with the browser based server browser in BF3 originally, but it grew on me and I honestly don't have any problems with it anymore and sometimes I even prefer it. I don't think I can convince you otherwise though. To each their own!

It is easier to use than it was, I have to admit. Just annoying as hell you can't just start the game and modify settings without going through the browser.

I wasn't a fan of it either at start but I'm quite a fan of it now... external player customizations (changing your kits, adding emblems, etc.) and the fact you can now launch your in-game, full size, battlemap on a second screen is amazing.

Yeah, it's become a LOT better now and I hated Battlelog for BF3.

I'd still prefer if it weren't tied to the browser but at this point the only thing I want is the ability to change game settings from there (not just loadout).

Well speak for yourself. i5-3570k, GTX680, Win8.0, 1440p, latest 331.40 beta driver and smooth 60FPS for the past few days, no problems and game is a blast.

This. I hated the browser-based system initially in BF3 but it grew on me and now I couldn't imagine going back to an in-game UI, the flexibility and density of information in the browser based approached is unsurpassed. Not to mention they are able to update it much more frequently and quickly than having it all built into a game executable.

Well some thing is JACKED withthis game, Running on Ultra Mode i get 40 to 100 FPS with 3 780GTXs in Tri-Sli, if i run 1 card im getting roughly the same FPS. Nvidia drivers sucking hard. Even on Ultra settings the game is not looking to great either.

I am having trouble as well. The HUD has constant wavy lines moving through it both during game play and in the settings menu.
I have the current official Nvidia drivers for my GTX 680. Sounds like I need to give the beta drivers a shot.

Lucky. The game runs like absolute shit for me at 2560x1600 (left on Auto) with a 690. Get 30-40fps and mad crazy stuttering and frame drops (updated drivers ofc). Half the perf I get in BF3 :( Hopefully it's fixed by the time retail is out

I installed the Beta drivers. The game runs much better now. I found out the wavy HUD only happens now when I run it in Surround mode. Funny thing is I get about the same FPS if I play on a single monitor or on three in Surround mode with the settings to auto.

I tried the beta2 drivers. I see some improvement but this game is still giving my 6870s a beating. 1GB if vram is probably hurting the performance. Yet BF3 still runs like a dream.

I hope these performance drops and stutter problems will be improved at release. I want to hold onto my crossfire for a couple more years. Once my car is paid off then I'll do an overhaul to my system :D
