The crew at HotHardware say these Zeiss Cinemizer OLED 3D VR video glasses are neat for watching movies but not too hot when it comes to playing games.

The good news is that you can buy them now. The bad news is that they are very expensive (around $800) and fairly limited in application. The Cinemizer OLED glasses are best used as a simple mobile media device for watching movies. The Cinemizer OLED can also be used as a gaming device, and (potentially) as a training aid or even an accessory for remote controlled vehicles equipped with cameras.

870x500 resolution? OLED or not...no thank you. ESPECIALLY for $800!

NEXT!

Oh also the Sony HMZT1 is the same price and has 720p OLED screens...granted it's bigger that this Zeiss...but who cares.

The resolution is...lacking for $800. Develop a proper working model with 1080p resolution for the same price, then I would be interested.

No thanks will wait for the Oculus Rift which is 1080p and much cheaper at $200

YEP, the $200-250 price point will put it in the grasp of a lot of people.
At first their supplier of the LCD displays discontinued the ones they planned to use. But Really now I'm thinking they are holding out for OLED panels. This is the direction the tech should go anyway. In my opinion using LCDs was useful for a proof of concept only.
