3D Realms Voluntarily Withdraws Lawsuit Against Gearbox

It looks like 3D Realms has decided to drop its lawsuit against Gearbox. After all the back and forth nastiness, it is nice to see all the legal stuff end amicably.

"In all sincerity, we regret the misunderstanding that instigated our lawsuit. Now that we better understand--and appreciate--the actual nature of our business matters, we have voluntarily withdrawn our claims against Gearbox, with genuine apologies to Randy for any damage that our lawsuit may have caused to the relationship," Scott Miller said in a statement.
 
They're lucky both of them weren't sued by gamers for unleashing that piece of crap on them.:rolleyes:
 
Translation: "We would get completely destroyed in court, so we're not going to proceed."

Yeah, 3D Realms had no case. They had over a decade to produce results and they didn't. By any reasonable standards, they are the ones in breach of contract.

That's the bigger take away from this whole debate. The game is not kick ass, it's suck ass.
