Step 1: Spray on a bright color (Neon green, metallic gold, etc...)
Step 2: Let dry.
Step 3: Sray on an overcoat, usually black.
Step 4: Let dry.

Now the thing is, the black overcoat shrinks a bit, and you get random cracks that show up, and the brightly colored undercoat shows through.

It turns out being almost a marble look.

I checked all of the spraypaint websites, and the closest I could find was "wrinkle finish", but I can't see the picture big enough to tell if thats what I'm looking for.

Any ideas?

That is very close, but not quite it.

The stuff I remember ends up looking more like giraffe spots when its done. The spots are the black, and the lines between the spots are the undercoat.

I ended up going a whole different route.

I painted the parts in a stone texture spray paint.
Then I painted the parts with gloss black.

So now it looks kinda sorta like truck bed liner, but with a much finer "grain", and its shiny.

I"ll be painting a few coats of clear over it next.

I'll take some pics.
