Wow, someone seriously woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. No one is saying that it's not a great set for what it's intended for, or that it doesn't work with a PC better than a lot of HDTVs that have been released. You're vehemently defending it to the point where I'm wondering who the biased one really is. I think it's funny that everyone who wasn't as impressed with this set as you are is either deemed foolish or had a bad one. As if no one could have possibly had a better experience with another product for their intended usage, ever.
Again, no one is saying it's not a great product for the money. Many of us have fully acknowledged what this unit does well, so I'm not sure why you're so defensive. Maybe you missed some of the posts; it must be hard to see everything from that high horse you're on.
Cliffs: LN5300 is a great buy and a [H]ot Deal at this price; most people are very happy with it. If your primary concern is as a large PC display, it may even be the best of what's available now. According to some, it will also make your coffee in the morning and you'll find yourself surrounded with gorgeous women at home and jealous geeks at LAN parties.

For $365 hell yes, I paid $417 for mine yesterday
its more like 387 with tax. I hate tax. I hate amazon now
I still don't know why you blame Amazon for being bullied by whatever state you live in.
Any suggestions for a dedicated PC and Movie monitor?
Seriously? The very thread you are posting in is the exact answer to your question!
ccityinstaller said:For the record, I have had 2 friends that had the Westy that a few in this thread are raving about, and my Panny is better in every aspect...42",4:4:4, A-IPS, LED backlighting, no ghosting, and better color/black levels..This coming from a set that has been replaced with even better options..The Westy was a great choice back in the day, but like everything, time marches on.
If my Panny were to die tomorrow, I would hop on one of these in a heartbeat, especially considering the insanely low pricing.

So, you've piqued my curiosity. What Panasonic model # are you referring to?
