Did it work out for anyone? I have shipping confirmation. Should receive in next few days. :)

I wanted it but decided to cancel because I didn't need it and did not want to deal with the potential return. Subbed for potential epic deal though.

My order is here!!!! :( :D

BUT

They sent me the Z87X-UD3H instead of the Z87X-UD4H. :(

Time to contact Amazon CS to see what can be done to fix the problem.

WOW!!!! AMAZON RULES!!!!

Just got off the phone and Amazon says they are having problems with the item and its under some kind of a review and because of the problems I have experienced they said they are going to give me a full refund and let me keep the mother boards.

I don't understand the method or the madness to Amazon customer service but they always win my business.

Conclusion: The deal truly was Epic for me.

Hope it worked out for you guys. I want to hear what happened .

Bottom line is nobody got a UD4H and this deal was a total bust except for SonDa5 right ?

A few people have PM'd me about this deal and are also trying to work out the deal with Amazon.

So far I am the only person that I know of that got some kind of satisfaction out of the deal

Well, not quite a bust yet. I am still waiting to receive some sort of new update, apart from that email about the wrong listed item. So, I guess the rest of us are waiting. SonDa5 really got a good compromise though.

Any updates???
As soon as my refund from Amazon clears I'm gong to sell all 3 of my UD3Hs.

I may end up selling all of my computer gear and save the money for a Hawaii card to match up with my mini ITX Maximus VI Impact.

I need to do a garage sell thread to clear out the hardware I am not using.

Cool! What did Amazon CS say?

Is this thread supposed to be a brag thread :p
I seriously doubt anyone else's experience will match yours.

Didn't start out like a brag thread but bragging seems very common here.

This thread was a followup to the deal that I posted. When I started it I wasn't sure how it would turn out for me.

Good luck to those that are still working on this deal.

wow nice score man. Let me know if you want to sell one of those bad boys.

Be careful. You've now cost Amazon ~$1,000 and their CRM system knows it. Go easy on the returns or requested appeasements for the next several months or you're going to get banned from placing future orders.

I'm only getting a little over $220 in refund. Your bean counting numbers are off.

I don't get that CRM system but I don't think I should be banned from shopping because Amazon screwed up on my order.

I didn't demand these MB for free. Amazon offered me the MB for free and gave me 100% refund and didn't give me any warning about a CRM system.

I'm sure Amazon accountant can juggle all the massive $ money number of win and loss with a tax accountant to make things work out for them. Don't blame the little man trying to get deal.

Thank you Amazon.

Okay, $1,000 isn't a correct number. More like $480. Still, be aware that an automated system is tracking how much each customer returns, gets in appeasements, etc and if you become unprofitable or a liability they'll close your account and refuse future service regardless of whether Amazon enabled you to be in that situation.

Not saying you're going to be given the boot, but I recommend being conscious of the risk going forward.

I speak from experience. I received a 'warning' after requesting that my trade-in be given an extra $30 for a product that was graded 'Fair' not 'Good,' along with two motherboard returns earlier in the year. That's a lot less money going around than them comping 3 motherboards.

In my case they apologized for the whole screw up. Amazon has been having problems with Gigabyte mother board listings and I'm not sure what is going on but customer service was apologetic about the whole bad experience and offered me full refund and let me keep the motherboards without me requesting anything.

My concern was fixing the order on my invoice which was for 3 Z87 UD4H mother boards and I didn't expect the UD3H boards to be delivered and I didn't expect them to give them to me and I didn't ask for them for free.

I didn't turn down their offer either.

:)

I hope they don't hold it against me. I shop there all the time.

***************************************
We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Best regards,

Thank you.

Oh btw this is a refund I am getting after my rep promised to price adjust on a UD5H. So, I went from placing an order for a UD4H for $66.83, had that cancelled and now I am going to receive a UD5H, for $66.83.

This is probably the smoothest price mistake order i've ever been through. Because it required no coercion, or complaining on my behalf. Amazon made promises and couldn't fulfill them, so they provided an alternative on their behalf.

Thanks again Amazon, for being such a great company.

Some of you guys are lucky, the reps I have been talking to don't know their ass from a hole in the ground, but they did give me a $30 promo.

This is J**** your Amazon Support. I'm glad i was able to assist you.

As promised I've requested a refund of $166.95 including sales tax to your Amazon.com Store Card.
