Looking for a good wireless gaming mouse for FPS's mainly. Looking for low input lag and many of the basic features of a gaming mouse.

I am interested in the G602 coming out next month, but I heard good things about the g700. However the g700 has horrible battery life. On the same hand the g602 has excellent battery life but are regular AA's not lithium. The DPI for the G602 is significantly lower.

Any input?

Battery life isn't a problem on the G700 as long as you turn it off and plug it in every night to charge when you're sleeping. It will last a good 12 hours before you have to use it plugged it in. And you can always just swap out the battery.

I personally use the higher DPI in some cases so I wouldn't get the G602, but most people don't use a DPI higher than the G602 goes and it probably won't be a problem for you.

The only thing I would worry about is the sensor quality and the RF signal quality. The sensor is completely new so there aren't any reviews on it. The specs seem adequate for most people, but the G700 does beat it in every category. The RF signal is probably pretty solid, but I haven't seen any reviews on that either.

I've been using the razer mamba for a few years not and haven't really felt a need to move from it. I'm the type of guy that changes mice and kb like crazy. the combination of the razer mamba and the das keyboard has kept me pretty happy. THE ONLY THING I hate about rechargeable mice is that you have to place them back on the charger. Something I CONTINUALLY forget to do!... so my mamba is in tethered mode most of the time and I go wireless if I move to the couch or lean far back.

The Logitech G700s is hands down the most comfortable gaming mouse (wireless or not) that I've ever used; it's also the best wireless mouse I've ever used. As mentioned earlier, the G700/700s' battery can be replaced with a more robust one. Most comfortable mouse (although not always so great for some games) would be the Logitech Performance Mouse MX.

Been using the Razer Mamba for at least 2 solid years and can't really fault it but I've been through 2-3 of them and out of the 2 they had developed particular sounds when in use. Scroll-wheel & left click both squeak when you use them and it does become annoying.

But the precision & battery life (rechargeable with its dock) is far more amazing then any Logitech wireless gaming mouse I've used. Also fits quite perfectly but that's entirely a personal preference.

Currently testing a G700s. It's pretty comfortable though my thumb has a tendency to rub against the thumb buttons when surfing. When gaming, it was never a problem for me.

Love love love my g700. Honestly don't think I could use another mouse ever again. All those buttons are so useful during gaming. They're arranged in a way that it's very easy to tell which button is which as well.

Also I love my G9X. I have one for work and one for my sig rig. I have dropped it so many times onto hard wood floors and it still functions 100 percent. I love how you can change the sensitivity on the fly and the custom lighting on it allows you to set it to match your system.

I just picked up a Logitech g700s and I'm a big fan.

It reminds me of the mx1000 from back in the day and it's very comfortable. Feels extremely accurate, even more than my previous mouse, the Sidewinder x5. Also used a Razer Mamba it was okay, but definitely not as comfortable as the g700s.

That is a long time on a G700. Which G700 model do you have? And are you using gaming mode on this and still get the 12 hours? I'm also guessing you are using the stock eneloop battery in it. As all these have a impact on the battery life. Mine never lasted over 4-5 hours on gaming mode. I kept some rechargeable spares laying around for this issue. This was one of the main reasons I stopped using mine.

I have mine in gaming mode and I know I get at least 6 hours from it. The battery does go to red pretty quick but it stays red for a loooong time.

I've had issues with the left micro switch acting strange, double clicking with a single click or releasing while I am holding the button down and dragging.
Logitech support is great and replaced it 2 times, so I currently have 3 of them, 1 used backup and a brand new backup. I repair the switches myself so I can get more use out of them, and it seems to be a common issue, at least in my experience, happened with my mx1000's, and mx revolution, and I was able to fix those as well.
Just have to take the switch apart and clean and retension the spring mechanism.

I would get 12 hours with my G700 when it was new and I get 12 now with my G700s. I use Normal Gaming mode and the battery it came with. I would only get around 8 towards the end with my G700 from the battery being old and worn out.

The biggest thing is turning it off when you're charging it. If you have have it on while you charge it wears the battery down a lot more and easily takes more than twice as long to charge.

Care to explain or link us to an explanation of how the battery wears out faster if you don't turn off the mouse when charging.
When you plug in the charge cable the wireless gets disabled and the USB port is powering the mouse as well as charging the battery.

I don't know, I just assume it does because my friend does his that way and his battery wears out a lot faster. I also noticed it doesn't charge nearly as fast when you have it on.

Mine only takes an hour or so to fully charge from when the mouse turns off when the battery dies, and I'm using it in wired mode as it charges.

How long does it take yours to charge on and off?

Newegg does this when a item is out of stock there. It has always been done that way. I honestly don't understand why they just will not mark it "Out Of Stock" instead of the "Discontinued" though. As it causes so much problems using that description.

Newegg shows G700 discontinued?
