Show Your LCD(s) setups!!!

The desk, the monitors, the entire setup is [H]. Can you link the video that shows the desk performing its magic?

The video is fairly old so it doesn't have any of my new stuff on it. The height for the front and back sections can be individually height adjusted using the electric actuators. The monitors can also be moved closer or farther away by pushing the shelf.

How do you like those Solo 6 BE speakers jamiee? I've got some AirMotiv6 at the moment and I think I'm doing a set of DIY speakers/amps for my HT and 2nd projector but I've been looking at picking up those with a Benchmark DAC1/DAC2 for audio on my desktop.

I love the Solo6 BE's....

Prior to getting these I had run extended tests with the following monitors:
Dynaudio MC15 (basically a BM5A Compact), BM6A MkII, and Focal CMS50.

Both Dynaudio monitors had a very similar tonality to them, only real difference was that the BM6A MkII sounded bigger and more powerful compared to it's smaller brother.

The Focal CMS50 is a very enjoyable speaker and IMO sounds more fluid and neutral compared to the Dynaudio's. It certainly doesn't have that famous mid-bass hump that the Dynaudio's have - and as such sounds more musical, yet remaining very capable as a recording/mixing speaker.

The Focal Solo6 BE on the other hand takes all the good from the CMS50 and turns it on it's head!
The 6 BE is quite a step up in both power and sonic capability.
Neutral and transparent are the two words that come to mind with this speaker.
With the right equipment in front of them, the Solo6 BE's are extremely fast and dynamic, yet completely get out of the way of the music. They are simply capable of incredible levels of resolution (read: very honest speakers), yet are not harsh at all.

I will be living with these for a good long while ;)

BTW my pair were flown in from the UK, as getting the Limited Edition Black finish is impossible to find here in Canada, and there's only one re-seller in the US that I'm aware of.

Thanks for your thoughts! I think I may be picking up a pair for my main rig soon.

Now I just have to choose a DAC/Preamp/Headphone amp unit...

Love the dual monitor set ups. My wife always thinks I am crazy, but having a single 30" and a multiple monitor set up is perfect for going back and forth between single screen and multi monitor games

great set up:)

thanks!...I am pretty lucky , my wife is ate up with it too, she uses triple 24" 3D monitors on SLI 4gig 680's , and a second machine with a single 27" on a 680.

we don't know anybody else who games so we end up with a lot of stuff we can use...as we upgrade the stuff gets moved to other setups in the house...I am thinking about buying a house stretcher!

Make sure whatever you do choose, that it's good quality....
The Solo 6 BE's will expose any weakness in your audio chain ;)

What desk are those?

For the love of all things holy please stop quoting PICTURES if you intend on asking questions, makes the pages infinitely longer

Triple monitor gaming on the cheap, woot woot! Actually, I've been pleasantly surprised by my 3 BenQ GW2750HM's... good color, great gaming, and great for lighting my room! :D

@vagabond142...nice big work space and trip monitors and has my kinda look - usable and used - instead of Better Homes and Gardens

I've owned an HP ZR24w for almost 3 1/2 years now. I bought a used one today for $130. It's in better condition that my monitor (way less backlight bleed). I'm thinking about buying one more. Is anyone else still using a ZR24w?

Where did you find a used one for 130? If you dont mind sharing....

I don't have one but...I would say that if the price is right and you have no current plans to buy a bigger single monitor, then more of what you have is better than one!...then work your way up.
The last time we counted there was like 21 flat panels here with 19 in use...deeeang!...that's stupid!
Here are 2 other systems in the "café" here...the 1st one is 3 23" Viewsonic 3D (we have had them since 120hz flat panels were pooping green!)...and the 2nd one is 22x24x22 and with Eyefinity you can run different native res's with a close to dead on bezel alignment

A man...I think...after my own heart :p

20" Viewsonic and 23" Sony Trinitron CRTs (notice, the table wanting to break)

I'm amazed people still use CRT monitors, we can't even give them away at work, we have scrapped about 50 over the summer.

@RangerXML

If I tried to carry that bad boy at my age my back would go out.

Even than I think I damn near killed myself trying to carry that CRT and I was in pretty damn good shape.

I got to used to having space on my desk and I had that Viewsonic for a long long time, set it up years later and it was just too much of a hassle to deal with.
