Let's just file this under the category of "I should friggin' hope so" and pretend this guy never said this.

Rubin's team has already been talking about how sensational Call of Duty should look on this fall's powerful PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. Those versions are expected to look far better, graphically, than the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U versions. Of the PC edition, he said, "They're actually using an even higher version in many cases than the next-gen consoles, from a texture standpoint."

I believe it when i see it and not another pos console port.

Looks are all fine and dandy. However, I still find the original Call of Duty to be the best there ever was. (I loved the storyline and how the game made you feel you were a part of what was going on.)

This is what I keep expecting, something like CoD1. The first CoD blew me away (or I thought I was getting blown away). Crank up the sound and you felt like you were in the game. I think that was one game that I played from start to finish in a few days. I played it a lot, and it was one of the rare times when I could spend all day playing. I was disappointed with CoD2 (not sure why, just didn't feel the same), and some others are fun but nothing like the first.

"For a moment, a billion Sony and Microsoft fanboys cried out that their next gen console wouldn't beat PC, and then, silenced"

Why are people so damn convoluted in speech nowadays. You mean the PC versions will have higher textures?

soooo... they turned up the resolution put a few new after effects in?

It's still the same damn engine from 6 years ago though right?

I hate COD, but at least he said this instead of whatever Bungie (if memory serves me) about the next gen consoles basically blowing the doors off of the PC.

The first one I ever played was the Call of Duty 2 demo, and I really liked it. I felt like I was really in the action. I never bought it 'cause I kept waiting for the price to come down. I was naive back then.

cough same old ass game engine cough

My pc from 2008 could run this new cod at max settings.......

Wait a sec . . . a gaming desktop can handle more than a glorified netbook with a laptop gpu glued to it? Hax!

Haha! I thought the exact same thing when I read that sentence.

I had to uninstall black ops because the graininess/dullness of the textures gave me a headache after 5 minutes of playing. Glad they are trying to fix the problem. Still not going to buy it.

same engine means same CoD graphics as the last few games...nothing groundbreaking here

Translation: It just dawned on us everyone isn't going to buy new consoles overnight and we'll have low numbers for the game debut as the consoles are adopted over 2, 3, or more years. So, for now, we care about the PC crowd so they can help boost our sales numbers and we tell our bosses that the PC market is an important segment. But in 3 or so years, you'll be a bad memory again.

COD devs "you don't need higher resolution textures we are giving you a fucking, a fucking dog... do you know how epic that is... a fucking dog????"

Us: I don't give a flying shit about a fucking dog. Stupid, lame ass game with a leg humping k-9. BF4 please!

Who gives a shit, the game play mechanics and net code will still be broken as shit that was meant for consoles. COD4 and WAW were the last pc games made in this series, the rest is just console bullshit.

Virtually the same experience here. CoD was amazing, even better than MoH.

It really hit the spot when it comes to presentation. They tried way too hard with the second one.

I'd say it's the best WW2 "realistic" FPS. RTCW is still the best but for completely different reasons.
