NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Since I'm not on the early-ship lists, but already contributed to the production campaign, will there be a certain point in time that I'll know for sure that I'll definitely be receiving a case?

I'm just a little confused on the details, and don't wanna start buying parts if I could end up getting bumped off the new campaign in a few weeks.

Oops, yeah.. +1 to what the guys above are wondering. Really hope everyone gets one!

To me, this seems a little silly. Yes, you'll get a case, if you select the correct perk, and pay the right amount of money for where you live. That's the point of the campaign. The early ship list simply means that the people who backed before (like me) will get their cases sent first.

Yours will be sent later.

The campaign has barely been out for a few hours - let alone days - and it already has over 100 backers. I won't assume that the current buying rate will sustain itself, but if it does, you guys have quite the number of orders on the horizon!

Looking forward to seeing this on a desk in front of me. Great job! :)

I forgot to add $40 to the shipping outside of US. What do?
Can I make an additional contribution of $40?

Gotcha. Just wasn't sure if a 2nd perk of additional cases was going to be added later or something.

And if you think that's silly.. my M1 will be replacing my decade-old Lian Li PC-6099 rig with SMP Coppermines that I'm typing on right now :D

If you want additional cases:

NCASE M1 campaign page said:
**IMPORTANT: please add $1 if you'd like silver exterior panels (not $0.01). To claim more than one case you MUST make separate pledges for each.**

I, for one, think that is badass, reminds me, I need to swap out the grinding fan and get my tualatin hotrod back on the net

I'm so tempted to order a silver one to go with the black one I ordered.. But I really shouldn't be spending money... must resist temptation..

I hear ya, pretty sure one could unload these without loss however, I expect them to sell out by Monday

No, 1 is good for me.. I meant a 2nd perk added later on of say, another 300 cases to accommodate any early backers that missed out (which hopefully no one misses out).

No big deal, just hoping I get one. And this was what Necere said earlier that confused me a little on the whole process..

The early shipping list is *not* a reservation list, and was never claimed to be. The production campaign is first-come, first-serve. That said, we're going to try to accommodate everyone that wants one and is on the list, one way or another. 600 units is a soft cap, we'll put it that way.

Ditto, thanks!

I'll have to find a way to re-purpose it for something since it's still working hard after all these years :)

The indigogo site states that if a certain amount of money is not raised, the money is not released:

"This campaign will only receive funds if at least $67,500 is raised by its deadline. Funding duration: August 10, 2013 - August 31, 2013 (11:59pm PT)."

Is money returned to us if 67.5k is not reached?

Also, ship date appears to say "January 2014"::

"Christmas season makes DEC 2013 delivery very risky. Jan 2014 is more conservative.

Estimated delivery: January 2014"

Wondering if that is accurate? Asking because it's much farther out that previously speculated upon dates.

Yeah I was also surprised the delivery date to be moved up about 3 months. Oh well, I'm in nonetheless !

Nope, the money goes straight to Bitfenix to help them develop larger Prodigy cases with bigger handles :D

Yes, you'll be charged immediately at PayPal, but that money will be refunded if the goal isn't met.

Think I read that in my email confirmation, and there's also mention of the same thing here..

Only 6 hours into the campaign and over half the goal has been raised already (and half way to the minimum 300 case order needed by Lian Li).. looking good!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you added an extra 20mm below the third expansion slot, wouldn't you have enough room for a slim 240 rad (30mm) plus fan (25mm) to fit below a watercooled graphics card?

Are you suggesting the case should be modified a few hours after the production campaign went live ?

What's the dimensions between the feet? length and width? Going to get a custom magnetic filter made >.>

I also forgot the additional 40$ for outside us shipping.
paid 40$ extra a few minutes later. hope that will work.

@Necere
will it be a problem?

The thing with magnetic filters is the case is aluminum, right? So you can't just stick them on. Lian Li also doesn't do magnetic filters, so we'd have to get them someplace else and ship them separately and it'd be expensive and not everyone wants them and it ends up being a big hassle. So we're just including LL's standard plastic-frame filters that bolt to the fan.

We did order some custom Demciflex filters for the prototype, which have adhesive-backed metallic strips that will stick to the case, and those work. What we can do is ask Demci to offer filters for the M1 and then people can just order their own from them.

Finally, backed! It turned out to almost exactly 1600 SEK for me with silver panels which is not too bad :)

Some lingering questions though:
With a graphics card that takes up 2.5 slots, will it be possible to have bottom 120mm fans mounted, or will they be too close to the card? Is there anything stopping me from mounting them on the outside of the case instead? (I intend to have the case mounted under my desk with straps).
Are the feet removable?

There is a slight mistake on the name on my shipping, and indiegogo would not let me put in my adress in the standard format. Can that be fixed?

Yeah, there's not enough space. There's only just enough for a dual-slot card with something 25mm thick at the bottom (drive and/or fans).

Well, the feet are only 10mm tall, so not normally. But if you're suspending it then I don't see why not.

Are the feet removable?
Yes.

Try contacting IGG support. Failing that, you can send us a message with the correct info and we'll make a note of it.

You should've got one... might've got caught by your spam folder? Regardless, it's posted to the old campaign now, so everyone should be notified.

Didn't get an email either.

Also don't you think a link on the first post to the Actual page where you can buy one is needed? If you use the link supplied you are taken to the prototype page where there is no mention the campaign is live. Only by hitting the updates link was I able to find it. Could just be me, but maybe needs to be easier to find.

It's against forum rules :(

Wonderful, I'm in for two!

January 2014 can't come soon enough - I guess I'll have to hibernate until then, lest I go insane waiting. :D

is the international shipping going to be $40 each case? or can the shipping be combined for multiple units?

will international orders for multiple units be shipped separately or as one box?

what happened to the no ODD slot option? I thought w360 was keen for this to happen? (sorry if it's been answered, I haven't been following the thread for several weeks)

So much for keeping it on the down low, lol. Guess I should've figured people wouldn't keep it contained. Oh well, I hope we can make sure everyone that wants one will get one.

Sorry -- I just saw the title of the e-mail and started running around like a giddy little schoolgirl.
