RC Battle Tank Cell Signal Jammer

Now I hate cell phones as much as most anyone, but this guy is just being a douche bag for the purposes of being one it seems. My wife's friend's husband buys all sorts of jamming devices and he has a ball just flicking them on while on the train and what not. And while normally he's a nice guy, he's being pretty douchey when he does it.

At least it'll be obvious what I have to smash to get my cell signal back.

He just better hope he never does it when an FCC dude is riding the train...

When I was younger me and a roommate used to make jammers as a hobby (I was even known to take them into the theater from time to time) but my roommate ended up getting busted for selling/using the jammers.

They really don't fuck around with that kinda stuff...

Exactly... And I'll add that it should be made legal for restaurants, theaters, etc. to use signal blockers on their property for "cell phone free" zones.

You kidding me? With all the young self-entitled young people running around, they would be screaming bloody murder if that happened.

And I used "young" twice in that sentence, yuk yuk, just noticed...

There are a couple of prisons that have their own cell nodes that allow the guards to monitor any calls made on the campus.

So, its possible the FCC might grant permission for a similar setup to act as a "blocker" so long as it does not inhibit 911 or other official emergency traffic.

get 1 boost the signal to 100 ft install in car then go out for a drive

Intercepting is not at all the same as blocking. They intercept exactly because blocking is not allowed. Blocking is very cheap and easier, they would do it if they could.

Meh. I want a directional EMP device, aka a cellphone KILLER. ;-)

On the phone driving, hogging two lanes and going 20mph below the speed limit? BAM!!! Dead cellphone.

Fixed that for ya

I would rather them be on the phone than constantly looking at it trying to redial because they lost signal.

There is virtually 0 reason to be on a phone in public. Talking on the phone in public is rude as hell as it is and dangerous as fuck while driving. I would put a cell jammer in every newer model vehicle. There is not a damn reason in the world to look at your cell phone while driving.

I know a guy who did exactly this on an Amtrak train in the quiet car. Stupid woman behind us was yapping away on her phone while everyone else was just trying to relax, so he activated it and within 10 seconds all we heard were "hello? hello??"s. It was nice to say the least.

This is one of those things where abuse of power is easy to have happen, but if used properly it puts shitty people in their place.

Anyone that plays with stuff like this in public is a serious asshole and deserves to be beaten. Dont fuck with the airwaves.

Pretty much that.

Seriously, can you imagine how different the immediate aftermath of the Boston marathon bombing had been if some self-entitled jackmonkey decided that they didn't want anyone elses cell phones potentially getting in the way of them enjoying a public event so they switched on one of these?

less of this?

Was she checking her facebook, or in shock trying to get help? If you want my honest opinion, whoever saw someone on the ground, missing a leg, and thought "Hey, I'm going to stop and take a picture of this chick bleeding out" is a fucking tard and the real problem with electronic devices in public.
