I must be crazy and bought so many games on steam and not play most of them

$1519.12 for now. I managed to avoid the summer sale.
 
how do they calculate the worth?...based on what you paid for it?...how much it's currently selling for?...what if someone bought most of their games during cheap Steam sales?

If it is like any of the others, it just takes current Steam store prices.
 
Any intelligent person didn't pay anything remotely close to what their Library is worth. Mine is over 1k, and I'd be shocked if I paid more then $200 total (humble bundles ftw).

Open your profile in steam, right click, copy url, paste url somewhere, take number.

Of note is that if you try to paste the URL into the entry box on that site and delete the stuff around you aren't going to get the entire number. The text box has a character limit
 
According to the site, about $5466.15. And I've put in more time playing Diablo 3 than I have with every game I own on Steam combined.

Seems like it's going by initial Steam game prices, I paid between 5-10 dollars for all 95 of my games so I should have spent less than the $1256 being reported. Still haven't played 40% of them too. Only 350 hours played on Steam in four years too but I blame WoW and Diablo3 and Starcraft2 mostly.

I'm surprised that I'm quite average in terms of percentage of unplayed games. I'm seeing quite a pattern, most people have an unplayed percentage between 30 and 50%. Excepting the OP, of course.

Those numbers are a bit skewed with F2P games and utilities that show up in the list. On top of that there are also some betas and mods for some of my games that show up that. Plus there are also some games in my list that I have played before Steam started tracking hours played so they show up and not played as well. Not doubt a lot of people still have a high percentage of unplayed games but the percent they have shown can be a little misleading.

Wow, what is it about D3 that keeps you playing? I gave up after one go through.

I'm slowly working on playing as much of my backlog as I can (including non-Steam games) before I buy more this fall & winter (other than receiving gifts).
 
Im going to try this once I get home. Ive got about 100 games.

Sad part is, Ive only played through like 4 of them in their entirety...

Its worth whatever enjoyment I get from the games I own. I don't ever foresee selling it, so it's effectively worth $0.
