WTB best AMD/ATi GPU for $50

As the title states, looking for a cheap GPU for my linux box, the integrated in my 760G chipset isn't cutting it. I'd like to be able to play some of the steam games I have like portal, so a lot of horsepower isn't required.

Maybe something like a 5770? 4870? Shoot me a PM with what you've got. I'd like to spend a max of $50 but I could probably go up to $75 for the right card.

You should be looking an NVidia, not AMD/ATI for Linux gaming. I have a core2duo 6320 running @ 2.1Ghz with 4GB RAM and a 5770 and it sucks balls for steam games on linux (ubuntu)

Have you finagled the proprietary driver into working or are you using the xorg generic?
