When I went to school my text books were over 20 years old.
Our history books got "edited" with black permanent marker and the new pages got stapled in over the old.
And yet...
Each school (elementary, middle, high) had four principles making 250K each. New taxes kept landing on my parents to increase school revenue and they STILL kept laying off teachers making 30-40K a year and custodians making 20-30k a year to keep out of the red.
AND YET we got new Macs every 3 years, but we weren't allowed to use them, they were in a room labeled "PC LAB SUPERVISED USE ONLY" but we laid off the teachers that knew how to use them.
Yup, 9 years of Macs, never had a teacher ONCE to teach us how to use them. We could afford new Macs, but not the teachers or the books.
We had 2 gymnasiums, 3 weight rooms and our own stadium for football and soccer.
Hell, I was ONE of the TWO kids that knew how to do fractions out of a graduating class of 120 (with 14 of those kids unable to read/ write or do basic math).
I hope the people that ran my school system burn in hell.

This could actually be good if used correctly:

Kids can do remote learning using the camera features.

Reduce # of teachers. Keep only the best teachers.
 
Just think, LA kids could still continue with school while in prison or house arrest.

They can Remote Learn even while manning the crack house, or waiting for the next customer on the street corner.

Riiiiiight, 1 really good teacher that can teach 500 students remotely. Of which 400+ of those would rather just do something else and not pay attention, then the really good teacher gets "graded" based on the outcome of the students and gets reclassified as a bad teacher then gets fired.

Having seen first hand the mentality of students who take online classes, I would probably not be too far off in saying a majority of them think taking an online class is akin to hanging out on facebook for a few hours a day.

Good teachers will help good students, but the greatest teacher in the world still won't help the section of student population that just doesn't give a shit about school.

I wish they'd call it what it is, and say that either taxes will be increased to force the citizenry to buy iPads for subadults, or the state's already considerable debt will be increased accordingly.

Thank God I am not an anglo-saxon. I was born in a Communist and lived in that country for quite some time and the social utopia is just not what everyone thinks is, thank god I was given the good fortune to get the hell out. Unfortunately we are actually reverting to that same system I escaped.

I have no idea how the Communists have anything to do with Los Angeles deciding to purchase iPads, but whatever makes you sleep better at night is fine with me. As for what women do and don't do...they live longer becuase they don't take as many stupid risks and have more genetic material with which to compensate for defective genes. Despite having babies, which explains medical expenses (duh, go try to have a kid sometime and see how it works out for you) women live longer which sort of proves the point. People (men) less frequently inflict violence on women because they're competing among other men for in a basic, instinctive way by fighting for territory or bragging rights among their peers. Men compete with each other so they also are more likely to hurt or kill each other. If men actually have a problem with women using social programs, they might want to consider looking at the society they've built which closes a lot of doors to women and keeps them from getting and keeping reasonable paying jobs. All of these and any other problems exist because of societal structures invented and maintained by men over the course of history. If you have a problem with that, you really should be blaming your fellow penis-people for it as they're the cause instead of randomly attacking the symptoms that result.

You missed the point entirely, the complaint was not that women live too long, that should have been obvious. The point involved the government forcibly taking away your money in order to pool it with a group that will consume it at a hugely disproportionate ammount, which is detrimental to your own self-interest.

Evidence of this is seen in how many women vote Libertarian, which is hands off of either issue leaving it to the state to decide, but strongly opposes socialism and as such only holds 13% of women voters.

And, if I bother to type any kinda response, it probably means I'm taking something at least a little bit seriously and have given it enough thought to either post something dumb in response or something contrived _and_ dumb. My local school gave the 6th grade ipads this last school year.. Being a random 6k population southern il town.. Was actually surprising, even if it was only 100 ipads rofl! Idk if apple donated or if the school payed for them.

That must mean they're more intelligent and motivated than men. If women are actually taking an interest in the world and doing something to actively control it instead of sitting around complaining about it online in a forum, then they obviously are better suited to positions of rulership than modern men who are only interested in playing video games and getting all fat and sloppy. Step aside quietly and let the superior gender make your decisions if you're not interested in being involved in making them, but don't whine about it when it doesn't go your way.
