Post your "rate my cables" here

While not the best picture, it does look like that radiator gets blocked somewhat by those cables.

It also looks like a situation where one single sleeve over all of the wires instead of individually sleeving every wire in the ATX plug would help a lot.

I'm not exactly sure why people individually sleeve wires, actually. Seems to be a big step away from the act of rounding IDE cables to reduce surface area and improve airflow.

I do like the way sleeved cables look. The rv01 is pretty terrible for wc anyway, as I found out. Next build will be a different case that's more conducive to WC.

Nothing fancy, just organized the stock cables:

Hey guys!
I just finished upgrading my rig, so I want to tiddy up the cables. I already replaced the PSU in the picture for a corsair AX760 and now I want to get the individualy sleeved cables they sell. I'm just having a hard time picking a color... what do you think will look better in this rig? Black, graphite, red or white?

thanks

Had a spare Xeon E3, some RAM, a PSU, hard drive, SSD... So over the last 2 weeks, i bought a Node 304, Gigabyte B75N, GTX660, HR-02 Macho and a Noctua 14cm fan. Result :

Close call on CPU cooler vs fan vs mounting bracket, but it fits :).

Yes i know, use of non-modular PSU is tragic, but i had this one at home and it is a very silent 80Plus Gold PSU, and i wouldn't use the front fans anyway :D. Yes, i know that USB3 cable runs over the PSU in a very uggly way, unfortunately someone at Fractal decided not to have that cable 5-10cm longer, so this is as good as it can be with that USB3 port location.

After six years, finally built a new rig:

Coolermaster HAF XM
ASRock Z87 OC Formula
Intel 4670K w/Noctua HSF @ 4.4ghz
2x Sapphire Vapor-x 7950's @ 1125/1425 (scored P15428 on 3dmark11)
Samsung 840pro 256gb ssd
G.Skill 2x8gb DDR1600
Seasonic x850
...and a couple of 1TB HDDs, an optical drive, and some Noctua case fans

Loving all the cable management these newer cases have.

Btw thats beautiful

Just replaced my case and am fairly happy with the results although I think the old case looked just a bit better cable wise. I still need to get around to doing some proper cable sleaving.

There are some great looking systems posted here!!

Anyway, I just finished my first mod "DARK ARMOR" & thought I'd post mine here.. what do you think?

NOTE: The feet are temporary until I get the ones I like.. still looking!?

I still need to work on the backside a little.. was tired when I built the system the other day! The cable you see in the lower right is the HDMI cable I have routed underneath the system, I have my monitor back to back with my system.

Later, Phil B.

Krenum,
Thanks.

No, they are off of my old case (HAF 922) with a 1/2" nylon spacer to clear the screws holding the bottom plate in. I'm currently "working" on some new feet.. not sure just yet what I want!? lol

Think i might be able do better with PCI-E & 24pin-area, but pretty pleased overall.

0/10 for trying to show everyone up by being so flashy. Go tone it down a little and come back and we'll see.

Hah, I love the build and all the color but I bet all those lights will blind you when looking at it in person. I've played too much Hotline Miami and Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon so all the bright colors don't bug me.

Only other gripe is why are all the fans on the Rad intake? That is just dumping all that heat back into the case.

Sieg, Any tips for me? I suck at this kind of stuff

Dick...............j/k
Great build.

I'd like to show mine as I think it looks great on a budget that I put together on. You guys would just tear me apart though with low budget (free to me) camera.
