Tumblr Starts Hiding Porn from Search and Tag Pages

When Yahoo took over Tumblr, the issue of what could be deemed NSFW image content was addressed as a non-actionable issue and announced that it would remain status quo. It now appears that Tumblr has backtracked on its original statement and a compromise of sorts has been reached to leave the content intact, but the blogs and posts will be non-searchable and hidden, making the content more difficult to locate.

Blogs classified as NSFW (ones that contain occasional nudity or adult content) or adult (ones that contain mostly nudity or adult-oriented material) will not show up in tag pages or search pages for users that are not logged in or who have "Safe Mode" turned on.

Good. Nudity online is strictly the realm of old dudes who have lame marriages or college people who need to pay for tuition because loans suck.

Gee. Thanks for the information. In case you missed it - Marriage is a sad, lame and outdated institution for people that didn't date much in high school. I mean...as long as we're spreading total bullshyt - figured I'd toss some, too.

Marriage does suck mostly, I think. Most guys sucker women into it so they can do the whole "Hur hur! I'm the man so I'm in control!" thing that just lands them in divorce-o-land where they belong.

I'm pretty sure most guys aren't the ones doing the sucker thing. You seem to have that backwards because most guys would probably avoid marriage if they weren't brainwashed most of their life into believing it is supposed to be that way.
 
You guys would save a lot of time just adding the idiot (troll) to your ignore list.

With that being said, I don't use tumblr anyway.

Bwahahahaha you are obviously a child as any grown man can tell you marriage is about the women being in control. Try family law out buddy. It really comes down to a man betting 60% of his shit for the duration of his life he will enjoy pounding the same hole for eternity.

What? Men invented marriage through male-dominated churches and are the ones who imposed in on each other and on women. They also wrote most of the laws that relate to it including tax law and, until recently in the US, decided the outcome of most civil divorce trials. Marriage is an idea invented and maintained by men who misused ideology and faith backed by their own warped ideas of justice to devise a system in which women were trapped because they were too insecure, stupid, or abusive to keep someone with them for their entire lives any other way. Go blame your own gender for it if you don't like it.

It's easy to think marriage isn't important in our society until you start looking at the society of kids without a father or a mother. Sure there are some kids turn out great growing up in a single parent home just as there kids who break through the shackles of the hood. But for the most part, just look at public schools and see how messed up things are. And yeah even kids with two parents are having a hard enough time. After all they never see their parents either. School and daycare are for babysitting so that parents can keep working and not bother with the responsibility of parenting. At the very least a healthy marriage provides emotional stability for the kid and if the parents want to (which they should!) it allows them to parent but not to exhaustion since two parents can tag team/take turns. It's great when a kid finds a good older mentor who's not a parent but it isn't going to happen all the time everywhere, and to every kid. Society needs marriage. If marriage was recently invented, when was it invented it and by whom?

I didn't say it wasn't important or didn't matter. I'm just saying that the fact that it exists is due to men and it has all kinds of legal stuff connected to it (in the US -- I dunno about what those zany French people are doing with it) because of a man-operated legal system. If people are bitter about it, they should be blaming men in general or their habit of ignoring their wife to go play some dumb game for like 6 straight hours. At least the cat will hang out. Guys...they're just stupid and can't take responsibility for their own actions when it comes to marriages or the fact that marriages even exist.
