Well, no big surprises here. Just for curiosities sake though, here some charts. In all cases, the "max" or "ultra" settings were the ones that the 8800 was capable of, done that way for fair comparison. There are plenty of DX11 graphic settings that became available with the 760, that enhance the games quite a bit, but are not represented here.

(Also, these cannot be taken as a pure reprsentation of the differences of the cards alone, as they were ran on two completely different test systems, my old rig and my new one.)

(Red is BFG 8800GTX OC x2;Green is MSI GTX760 OC)

Average FPS:

Minimum FPS:

And just for the hell of it, Maximum FPS:

A couple of Apps. Cheated a bit, HT is off for hyperPI and on for wPrime:

Not surprisingly, the game experience is much, much better. With the 8800s, FC3:BD was barely playable on medium. With the 760, it is playable with everything maxed and very fluid feeling. Similiar stories with most games, higher settings, new features, and better framerates.

The biggest gameplay experience impact is, IMO, the stable and much higher minimum framerates. No stuttering or slowdown makes the games seem so much more immersive and 'solid'.

The highest power draw with my old system was about 530W, and the new system is 390W (both in the Crysis Warhead:Frost benchmark, actually). Three to four times the performance for about ~25% less power? Ok. :)

A couple of other tests I didn't bother to graph:
--------------------------------8800gtx-------760gtx
Luxmark sala--------------201-------------511
FF14 benchmark---------1792 ----------6928

A current gen midrange cards beats a 5 generation old highend card. Nothing surprising here...

To most it would seem obvious, but you may want to put a legend or label on your graphs that shows that the green bars are the GTX 760 and the red bars are the 8800GTX's in SLI. Also, not sure what a CPU bench (HyperPi, wPrime) has to do with the GPU upgrade. I'm assuming from your signature that you build a whole new system?
/2 cents

Yea, if I could rename the thread to "old rig vs new rig" I would. Kinda misleading, and not my intention.

All good. The 760 is a sweet card and a substantial upgrade over the old 8800's. Let us know how she plays on Crysis 3; that game has been the hardest for my current system to run.

Don't have Crysis 3 yet, but it's on the list, along with a number of other games I had passed up because my system wouldn't have played them in a satisfactory way:

Witcher 2
Metro 2033
Metro Last Light
Crysis 3
Bioshock Infinite
Farcry 3
Sleeping Dogs
etc, etc, etc.

Also, heavily modded Skyrim! I'm pretty excited. :)

Lol, I know right? Just glad I can do some community service and get the word out. ;)
Ah, don't let the mob get you down. Its always a great feeling to get new gear that shows a monumental increase over your old stuff. Enjoy it.

Thanks man, I intend to. First things first though, since this has been nice and stable for a few days, it's time see what this 3820/RIVG can do for a 24/7 OC.

I'm hoping for 4.6Ghz, but we'll see. Might run the benches again afterward just to see if it makes any difference, I'll dump the info here if it does.

Woot. 4.5Ghz, 1.32V. Never got over 70C, after an hour of prime95, until I ran 15-min furmark bench on the GTX760 with the prime95. Hit 76C, vidcard 81C, and chipset 40C. Happy with this for a 24/7 setup. :D
