That ChrisG v Justin Wong match was the fucking HYPE. Definite classic
 
Good watch especially this year! KoF was pretty hype and Justin Wong mounted a series of incredible comebacks. Shame he went for that infinite loop on zero on the very last game. SF4 commentating put me to sleep though.

Fgc is awesome. I wish there were more involvement in pc gaming. Awesome finals for both ae and marvel.

Crazy, my two favorite players were in the SSF4 finals(Xian and Tokido).
 
Stayed up late watching this. PR Balrog was on a crazy roll. If anything, he might have been a better answer for Xian's Gen, but the way he was playing - it's tough to imagine anyone beating him in 2 straight sets.
I was surprised there were so few Cammy players in the final 16. I expected a lot of Cammy/Viper/Fei and there were almost none.
Interesting that at the highest levels, the game's balance and tiers sometimes go out the window.
 
Great run by PR Balrog. He was a little impatient towards the end but impressive nonetheless! Infiltration with counterpick is always laughable but that's the way it is.
 
Yes it was a good finish, what an amazing tournament, so many great fights.

I know some of the balances were leaked for a few characters but I do hope they will announce something for everyone even if it's just a minor tweak.
 
As one of the lone T. Hawk players, I'm glad they're finally giving him a cancelable low MK and FADC'able uppercut. Now he will finally have some combos beyond a few light attacks followed by a tick mix-up.

I'm a bit curious about Hugo. A lot about what made him good was the instant super armor on his lariat. I can't see them doing that for anyone in SF4 (plus they nerfed it in xTekken 13), so hopefully he doesn't totally suck.

I have to think that the 5th character will either be totally new or maybe it'll be Mike Haggar. He does fit the mold after all.

Didn't they say that the new character has never been in a Street Fighter game before? That's why I was thinking Haggar. He's only been in the VS. games. There aren't many possibilities that haven't been in SF before that wouldn't involve a totally new design.
 
Looks like now they're claiming this character hasn't been in a fighting game at all. That clearly eliminates Haggar and the like. Somewhere else I read that this character does have ties with the SF universe, so I'm guessing it'll either be someone new from Final Fight or maybe a minor background character from the SF storyline.
...or it could just simply be a totally new designed character. As long as it isn't another clone character or someone uber-defensive I'll be happy.
