I took the plunge and built my first water loop. I'll start off with my system specs:

Fractal Arc Midi R2
Maximus V Formula
3770K
8GB Trident X 2600CL10
EVGA SC ACX 760
Seasonic X-650
Crucial M4 256GB

Cooling:
Raystorm
Black Ice GT 240
XSPC RS240
Bitspower Multi-Z Tank 150mm
Swiftech MCP-655-B
4x Corsair SP120 Performance
2x Thermalright Extreme

This is what I have so far.

I'm currently using reducers to get the 1/2" ID tube to work on the VRM block included with the Maximus V Formula. I have a few more fittings coming tomorrow to tidy things up a bit. I'm also looking for suggestions on parts to use for a drain line. I was planning on putting it right below the Res.

Very impressive man i am working on my first loop right now as well im using 7/16 tubing with half inch barbs im guessing your planning on adding a gpu water block with all those rads?

Might add a GPU eventually. Mostly I was looking for the best CPU cooling performance possible for my mid tower case.

I tinkered with the loop today. Added some new fittings and set the sequence up so the two rads cool in series before the CPU.

Temps while folding

It always impresses me to see these WC builds and how they just blow those AIO closed loops out the water (no pun intended). For comparison sakes, my i5 is pushed to around 68c when folding using the Zalman CNPS-9900 Max (air). I'd like to try WC'ing someday, but now is not the time...

What did you fill the loop with?

Distilled water. Which i5? 2500K or 3570K? What voltage do you need for 4.5GHz?

One thing you might think about instead of using those reducers u could possibly just run the 3/8 hose to and from the components before and after the VRM block. Might look a bit cleaner? Otherwise that's a great loop, more than enough cooling to add that 760 someday. I'm running 2 dbl rads as well with my cpu and 5870.

Yeah this is true. I got rid of one reducer, there is a 3/8" barb on my CPU block going to my VRM block. I still have a reducer going from VRM output to reservoir because my only 90 degree fitting is a brand new Bitspower that I wanted to use. Next time I order parts I will likely get the 3/8" barb version. Although I'm using cheap tubing that will likely fog in a few months. My next time around (a few weeks) I will get better tubing and possibly compression fittings.

2500k and it's at 1.368. Never understood why my 2nd and 3rd core are always reporting a couple degrees off the others (Min. temp)
