Steam 2013 summer sale is here!

well hell, i just bought bioshock infinite about a week ago full price =( 50% off right now.
 
Waiting for Crusader Kings II to go under 20 bucks... than I'll bite.

So many games in my backlog; Steam won't get a lot of my money this time...
 
GTA IV is the worst of the series. The story is so depressing and boring. And then the whole unoptimized issue for PC...

While it was the prettiest, you're right. I was waiting for the story to get interesting, but I beat it more just so I could get it over with.

I really liked the Liberty City stories though, Gay Tony's in particular.
 
Was going to get Sleeping Dogs but that list of DLCs was a turn off...
 
I bit on Sleeping Dogs, that DLC list is HUGE but it sounds like the base game is good on it's own. It also sounds like only 2 of them are really worth getting anyways so I don't feel like I'm missing out, if I like the game I'll pick up those 2 durring another sale.

I think its actually when a game has massive dlc list is when you need to be hesitant. It all looks like one big money grab. Youre right to just stick with the base game I'm doing the same.

I completed GTA IV twice using kb/mouse and never had any urge to use a controller, but YMMV.

Also regarding Sleeping Dogs, yeah don't let that list of DLC sway you too much. Most of it is just fluff. There are only a few (at most) worth getting, but the game is still great without any of them. Kinda silly to pass up on a good game because it has a lot of unnecessary DLC, IMO.
 
^It bothers me the most when a game feels incomplete without the DLC but Sleeping Dogs dlc seems to be add on type stuff, most of it is worthless(IMO) cosmetic stuff and cheats that I won't miss at all.

Eh... it's a nice open world concept, however the story crosses that line from silly fun to insanely stupid. And it does get a bit tedious doing the same thing of taking down a fort to liberate it... etc, especially if you use the same tactics (sit back on a hill and snipe them one at a time). Although if you don't do that you add a little more spice to the game with more enemies.
 
Yeah I haven't bit on anything yet... Will probably grab cs go if it goes back on sale
 
Bit on AC:GOTY for $7.50. Was going to go Darksiders II, but by the time I get through Batman + continue working through my backlog, the winter sale will be here. I want to get through a few more of them before I start on a buying spree again.

Batman's worth it, bought it during the last sale and started on it last month, it's a good game.

Voted for Hitman, I heard it really isn't good, but, eh, for 6 bucks, if I can get an hour out of it...

They both go on sale for like 4-5 bucks every sale. Not sure if Mass Effect still does since Origin came out. I've been waiting for Dead Space pack to go on sale FOREVER and it seems like Origin has stopped any and all good sales on EA games through Steam.

And sorry about Dark Souls, should have said something when the counter changed over.
 
Clearly the community doesn't want to support a shit port that requires 7-10 mods just so it will run properly on PC...oh, and don't forget the GFWL requirements which could potentially get your account locked when using DSfix

In for Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition, first purchase so far this sale.

What are everyone's thoughts on Tomb Raider. I know its been part of the AMD bundles but Ive seen it going for around 15-20 mostly I was hoping it would hit 10 but at 12 M sort of temped.

Same, saw the Witcher 2 for so cheap it went instantly in my cart. Still trying to decide on Tomb Raider. I've heard some pretty good things, just don't know at $12 (still cheap, but $5 is usually my limit since I have such a big backlog as it is).

TR is an excellent game, I would say it's probably my top contender for GOTY. It's an experience that I truly didn't want to end, at $12 just buy it....it's almost criminal for it to be that low
 
Went and looked in the FS/FT thread and saw a bunch of the Tomb Raiders going for $10 but there dont seem to be many around anymore. For a measly $2.50 more I think ill just save the hassle and buy it off steam. No doubt in my mind ill get my moneys worth out of it.

Witcher 2 was a great game.

I had a ton of fun with this latest Tomb Raider.
