Conan O'Brien Visits E3

I like Conan and all but his "nerd" jokes are about 10 years old at this point.

1. He is the reason for that rape article posted here a week or two ago.
2. Probably thought, Mario who?
3. What no XBone jokes?

There were a few funny parts, but there is something about him that just isn't funny. Some of his cracks were just stupid.... Oh well.

I thought it was funny overall but I think he was being a dick to the voice of Mario. Hope he was a little nicer off screen.

Then again it was kind of sad how he just robotically came up and started doing the voice...

Yea, a bit......

But, I find him more irritating than funny.

I'm 50/50 on Conan. He can be genuinely funny, but since he is still "groomed" for the top late night, his jokes are often bland and generic. Like Jay Leno.

This was funny but I still can't stand the whole "games are popular with young people and my audience is mostly young people so I'll act like I care about video games even though I really don't" thing that Conan is obviously doing.

Stick to what you do best bro. Obviously video games aren't it.

That's what I'm getting. Generic and bland jokes. I've never really given him much of a chance, to be honest. But, the initial impression turned me off a bit.

These bits have been done to death. However, when done by the right person, they are always funny. I enjoyed it.

Lighthearted jab at gaming--especially pertinent during the week when it's all so *serious*....lots of fun...!

Jokes aside, Conan is the best critic for the Videogame industry. He's so spot on, It's almost surreal. and not only in this video. His clueless gamer spots highlight so many problems with the game industry.

lol what? He is always very clear on the fact that he doesn't play or care about games, which is what makes these bits so hilarious.

Back when I was younger, we used to call that Munning (because while others have pandered to youth before, that woman really pioneered what you're talking about.)

Perhaps not correct to the Urban Dictionary defection T, but pandering to the geek/gamer demo is what it is. I give Conan credit for on numerous occassions being honest that he knows full well his place in what he is doing (Yes, it happens because it's what his audience wants covered. No, he isn't actually into it [a la Fallan] beyond using his ignorance of the matter for comedy.) I respect that.

Which means he doesn't have any filters to keep him from pointing out a lot of the bullshit in video games and the video game industry.

On the flipside, he also does a great job of highlighting positive aspects.

Care or not, intentional or not, he's deconstructing modern video games, with uncanny clarity.

Watch Conan's clueless gamer, it's hilarious. I love Conan, he never stops making me laugh. Him and Bill Burr.
