Hi All,

Lately, my computer (specs in sig, no OC) has been freezing once or twice a day. I would need to restart it and everything will be good for rest of the day. This started happening for about 1-2 weeks. Today, the same thing happened, except now I can't boot into windows without a blue screen.

Things I've tried:
1) Reset mobo settings, no OC, same issue.
2) Swapped video cards, same issue.
3) I have 4 sticks of ram, I tried using 1 stick at a time on different memory slots, same problem.
4) Cannot get into ANY windows mode at all, can't get to safe mode, can't get to "launch startup repair"
5) Tried to reformat my computer by booting from a windows 7 dvd, after windows finishes loading files, blue screen would appear during the "Starting Windows" animation.

Here's the blue screen error message that I keep getting:

It appears right after the "Starting Windows" animation.

I've also tried to use Ultimate Boot CD. I was able to get into the GUI windows xp env provided by UBCD. I couldn't really do much, so I shutdown. But I tried it again, and I can't even get into the GUI environment by UBCD anymore, it will constant blue screen after the windows XP loading animation. The blue screen for this is here: http://i40.tinypic.com/2hq576h.jpg

Is there anything else I can try or do? Any idea what the problem might be? I was trying to grab the minidump files, but I can't find my windows folder on c:\

I booted to NTFS4DOS using UBCD, when i listed contents of my c:\, it was missing the windows folder.

I think I might have found the culprit, it is my Crucial M4 SSD - After I unplugged it, I was able to get past the "Starting Windows" animation screen. After plugging back in, same blue screen.

Try the SSD in another PC if you can.

Good idea, not sure why I didn't think of that earlier.

Just tried it, and same blue screen problem. Can't boot off windows 7 dvd without blue screening on another PC with this SSD connected.

I upgraded the firmware, same result. Time to RMA it

Well that sucks. Sorry to hear about your SSD issue.
