Just because there were already threads for the Xbox One and WiiU, it seemed wrong not to have one for the PS4, too. :p

ya know what else was #1 preorder... my lunch... and now it's done (in my tummy anyways)

xbox one now @ #1 preorder on amazon.com

PS4 one and done.

Amazon doesn't charge until it actually ships, so many people simply pre-order to secure one just in case they decide to keep it.

I won't be surprised if you see a lot of cancellations just before launch. Every game store I've been too has more PS4 pre-orders.

They've also been allocated more PS4 preorders than Xbox One preorders.

Microsoft has 1 console in the top 10. PS4 has three consoles bundles in the top ten. I don't think it's out of the question to believe the three PS4 bundles add up to more than the total One pre-sales. Plus, pre-order data on games show PS4 is leading.

Anyways, pre-sales don't mean anything. Everyone thought 360 was going to outsell PS3 because of early sales and look where that lead them, it has lead Microsoft to 3rd place in the 7th gen, the same place they were with the original Xbox in 6th gen.

Just sold my Xbox 360 and 36 games with Kinect on Ebay for $416. That paid for my PS4. lol.

I would say the 360 is done to me.

The PS4 is done and ready to ship. While they are still working on the Xbone's DRM.

How many of those pre-order consoles are going to end up on eBay for double the price? Every fucking time.

I went by wallmart today thinking I'd pick one up. You are a fucking lying fraud sir. It is most definitely not done.

If you use the equation 169.5x^2 + 1365.5x + 33416, where "x" is the Playstation # (PS4 = 4), and plug the result into excel and format as a date:

x=1 returns 9/9/1995.
x=2 returns 10/26/2000.
x=3 returns 11/17/2006.

Those are all the exact PS1-PS3 US release dates, and...

x=4 returns 11/12/2013.

I haven't bothered to check but assuming you are correct, where did those numbers come from? That can't be a coincidence.

It's probably from using polynomial regression in Excel. You could do this for the xbox release dates as well.

Edit: Just to add, since I didn't really make it clear, there isn't really anything special about the dates. Someone more knowledgeable about math can probably explain the actual nuances but you can derive a quadratic equation from any set of numbers with a similar relation to these ones. The rate of the rate of change is linear. This wouldn't really work if the release time between each Playstation did not all take longer than the one previous.

And sculelos' second user ID is at last revealed LOL.

Im not pre ordering anything, I'm going to enjoy this ps+ on my ps3 for quite a while. Looking forward to seeing what they drop on there before the ps4 comes out.

I want JRPGs like Playstation 1 era again. I love spending 60hrs+ even over 100hrs+ on a immersive story driven game. Maybe because I have been playing so much MMOs and FPS for the past decade that I am burnt out on them.

Me too, but its unlikely.

PS Vita and 3ds are what you will have to play to get those.

I know a lot of people were praising Xenoblade for the Wii, and the company making it is doing some sort of spiritual sequal on the Wii U currently named "x". It has mechs that can fly and turn into tanks.

It's possible to create a polynomial that fits any finite set of points. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taylor_series

Notice that while x=1 and x=3 result in whole numbers, x=2 results in a half number which we can only presume means that PS1 and PS3 were released at midnight and PS2 was released at noon. =P

Maybe a third? These people make me physically ill. Leave these machines for the people who actually want one to play it, not just to sell it at 3x MSRP.

As an aside, Will probably buy my PS4 around Feb. or Mar. '14. No job or money to pay the hondo for preorder... :(

If this equation is correct

x=5 returns 12/05/21

of course... people don't care if their rights are violated and they're being spied on so long as they can buy used games or borrow from friends :rolleyes:

Wait, what rights is Microsoft violating now that Sony isn't supposed to be? Or is this one of those assumptions that people are making?

same. i remember spending an entire month of my summer playing xenogears. i had one of those awesome banana chairs that was perfect for console gaming, it was cheap leather and my shirtless back would get stuck to it, one time i played for so long i needed help to get it off of me when i stood up hahahaha

games like that wont be made any more though. it takes to much time to put a game together with the things that people have come to expect from a game, like voice acting etc.

the last good jrpg i played was lost odyssey.

What I think is a little annoying is that I hear people wanting to preorder a PS4, but don't really mention any specific big "system selling" quality game to be coming out for it by the end of the year. Is everyone just buying it because it's 1. The next Sony console and 2. It's not the Xbox One?
