Cute Kid Bills Dad For Tech Support

I like her motto. I should get 'what browser are you using' printed on my business cards at work.

I don't buy the whole "I paid to raise you" crap.

I didn't ask to be born. That was a decision that you made as the parent. Live with the costs...don't try to "get back" what you put into the kid.

smart girl, damn if i do this i'll have both my lunch and dinner covered for whole next year.

Well then get the fuck out and raise your self.

Don't worry the whole I didn't ask to be born will happen. With the falling Marriage and fertility rates, most Kids will not be born, but its a moot point since the object will not be born thus their input is none existent.
By 2030 Most industrialized countries will see decrease in populations. (Finally the stupid baby boomers will start dying)
Actually it will be more like 2025 since most men live 5-6 years less then a woman.. So guess what your taxes will go up since the tax base will be halved.

I am in the "watch the world burn camp" I will bring marshmallows to the bbq.

15 days to order and get the new hard drive? Where'd she order the hard drive from? The Nazi base on the dark side of the Moon? Christ!

HDD could of been under warranty, if its a warranty replacement I've waited a week+ to get the new one before.

This is awesome, I hope someday my kids do this to me (doubt I'll need tech support though). Even if I don't think the reward is warranted I'd probably cave in on such an awesome attempt.

And Round Table pizza rules.

Yeah, warranties can take quite a long time =o Or she didn't want to pay any shipping so choose the longest option!

Yeah I do hope someday my kids (that I will eventually have) would do this too lol. I know I currently do some Tech Support for my family now, but who knows what will exist many years from now. I could be that old grandpa knowing nothing about newer generation computing. Clinging to my old reliable PC with my cold arthritis ridden hands!

The longest one I've waited for was a WD HDD, 250gb :D, they didn't give me an option for shipping since it was "free."

Pretty sure WD selected a walking carrier. TWELVE DAYS!

i absolutely agree.

I woulda done it for a McRib.

First... ewww.

Second... no way, and anyone who has ever done tech support for any family member knows that brings with it a lifetime of indentured servitude because they now know you know how to fix this blasted contraption. Dinner at a pizza joint is going to get old quick... I at least would have gone with a decent pizza joint that wasn't a chain restaurant.

I lost it at:

Have you tried turning it off and on again.

Priceless, and an old wives tail that never works (more then 98% of the time).

I've been on my own since 15 spent less then 4 years with my parents.

If I can do it any one else can. Especially spoiled ass little shit heads.

Doesn't entitle you, silence with your inane and utterly worthless banter.

X happened, therefore X always happens.

Solid logic there.

Totally this. My wife and I have a "please don't bother us with computer problems" policy. I mean, I like to help, but I don't like the assumed "he'll spend all day fixing my shit for FREE" attitude.

so, because you had a shitty childhood, everyone else should have to have one too? personally, my father used the "i paid to raise you" line all throughout my childhood and i will never say it to my children if i have any because it's a horrible, cruel thing to do and shows a complete lack of humanity. if you have a kid, that kid is your responsibility until they grow up.

sorry about your shitty childhood, glad you made it ok.

I can assure you I was far from spoiled. Sure, I didn't go hungry or sleep in the cold or rain, and I also had shirts on my back and shoes on my feet, but I was FAR from spoiled.

Meh, my parents would pay me with milkshakes and such when I did things for them growing up. They gave me stuff when I did stuff rather than just randomly buying me shit because I whinged about it enough.

Even now when someone asks me to do something or I ask them to do something, the answer is often "sure, for a beer".

Cute picture. Daughter deserves Kudos for humor.

But yes it can take a couple weeks to fix a drive. Mine's been down for weeks now. (I really dont' want to spend the bucks to make a 1GB SSD RAID array to finally take care of the issue)

'Pull the plug' (or shutting off psu) has worked on more than one occasion for me when concerning bios issues and certainly some others I'm forgetting. Granted that is a 1% thing and probably not a problem 'dad' would have though. Yeah, it surely doesn't fix hardware failure, (most) software conflicts, viruses, or user error they will likely repeat. That said, I wouldn't ever discount it entirely. If nothing else, it can help for diagnosis.

Really dug this idea. Very cute, and I'm sure we can all relate.

So because your parents were shitheads that decided, yes they made the conscience decision to procreate, to have a child. And then decided to be negligent parent means that every parent is entitled to be negligent and it's up to the child to make up for his/her shithead parents? Yeah that makes total sense, you should have been aborted. I mean seriously, if your parents couldn't adequately raise you, after your dad couldn't keep his dick in his pants and your mom's vagina wanted to swallow a bunch of dick, they should have just aborted you.

it's obvious to anyone with half a brain that the I paid to raise you argument is bullshit. You paid to raise me? You made the choice to have a kid, part of having a kid is paying for it. Before that child was ever born you made the choice to accept the responsibility for raising that kid, which includes paying to raise that kid.

All this talk about the 'cost' of raising a kid is bizzare. Of course its the parent's responsibility but it's not for nothing. In return for taking on that cost, you get your genes passed on to the next generation and (hopefully) the one after that. Thats why our biology drives us to procreate, not because having kids is some kind of organic cash investment opportunity.

My guess would be that dad had agreed to take her out for pizza if she could fix his computer, and she knocked up a spoof invoice, which I agree is cute.
