So my G930 headset arrived today and I noticed that when I did the surround sound test in the Logitech gaming software program, when it said left channel I could hear it in the right as well as the left, although it wasn't as loud, and the same with the right channel.

Is this normal? Or should I not be able to hear the left channel test in the right channel? Is there a fix for this?

Yes it's set to surround sound, and yes in the control panel it's set to 7.1.

Do you have some crossfeed feature enabled? Crossfeed blends them a bit to reduce listener fatigue and make headphones sound more like speakers.

I don't think so, I just reinstalled windows last week, so I don't think its anything I downloaded, since I didn't download any sound codecs or anything.

yes its normal. its meant to simulate a speaker set up. if you play just the left side speaker, your right ear still hears it, just at a lower volume.

the thing about the human brain is, that if you play a sound loud in one ear and soft in the other, your brain will swear to you that its only coming out of one side. are you listening to earcups individually or just putting on your head and hitting test?

remember, its not testing if the left earcup is working, its testing the left channel, then it gets sent though the virtual surround processing. if they truly only sent it to the left channel, it would sound weird when you watched surround.
