The ramdisk feature is the most appealing to me. Using it as a scratch drive would greatly help improve performance for disk intensive applications.

The amount of config available on this new UEFI is amazing. All the features ROG (rock)!

I definitely like the use of junctions for an easy to implement ramdisk, plus the logo hearbeat to verify that the system is not frozen.

130619 ? nobody thought of an edge on dvi connector instead of wasting so much space for the existing connection for integrated gpu? nobody considered airflow management for about as close as you could craming multiple gpu cards together? nor reinforcement for the back of the mobo; how about simple led fault indicator for problematic boot?

The most interesting feature for me is the fan controls, I like tuning my PC for quiet operation and that can be handy for my needs.

For BIOS options you go to frequently I really like the new ability to save your Favorites!

My last ROG motherboard was the RE (original)

THere are a lot of features I see that I'm really glad Asus has embraced for UEFI. Others have already mentioned everything from the updated GUI w/Favorites, Notes/comments are awesome, the overclocking features, RAMdisk support and easy creation, SecureErase for SSDs which saves me some time and from using a utility, and I really love the ability to update the UEFI/BIOS on boards with a built-in utility rather than having to go to a particular OS (especially as a Linux user) and find a proprietary updater to flash - being able to copy/paste the UEFI update onto some sort of removable storage and it will be detected from inside the UEFI config and updated, is fantastic and time saving
What I really like is that Asus continues to support Linux, and it is possible to disable the SecureBoot UEFI option without giving up encryption. Likewise, I read it is possible to install additional UEFI keys or update those included etc... which is important for those who use Linux and other alternative OSes that may not embed Microsoft's key.
For the last several generations all my motherboards have been Asus (and mostly RoG and Sabertooth for performance builds, even for others) and I couldn't be happier with their support for enthusiasts and (in general) Linux users. All I can ask is that Asus continues to use open standards whereever possible and Linux-friendly chipsets (ie wireless). Increasing their Linux and enthusiast support is a reason that I support Asus and this generation looks no different!

Quick Note. I'll be doing all of my word processing on that if I win one of these puppies.

Now being able to save overclocking presets for the task at hand is a huge plus.
Now I can switch from an extreme overclock for high end fragging to custom timings for video editing to a less aggressive timing for everyday browsing or word processing. Thank you ASUS for making such an awesome mainboard!
Now if you can only make CPUs, you would be the ONLY brand for me.
Ahhhh... the sweet high-end...

The UEFI is easy on the eyes - let's state the obvious first. Most impressive? The layout. It's awesome. Everything is organized where you'd expect it to be, in an easy to read/view format.

Definitely a huge fan of the "last modified" option. Always nice to remember what was changed after walking away angry you didnt get the last few MHz you wanted

For me It would have to me Ramdisk and OC Panel as well. Knowing Asus made it means it'd be easy to use both as well.
Give me a reason to get one of those dirt cheap 32Gb Ram kits for this board!
Also thanks a million Asus & [H]ardOCP for having this open to us Canadians!

I must admit that the sonic radar intrigues me, not having the option of surround sound on my pc due to room contraints, Sonic Radar could prove useful.

At first I was thinking the shortcut system, but then I got to the 'last modified' and that would have been a life saver for me in the past. The feature I would most likely use the most though is "CPU level up" though... because I'm getting lazy in my overclocking

The tweakers' paradise tools look like they'll be very powerful, plus having asus' guidance in their forums for what each setting does will help me get every bit of performance from the system.

The new UEFI bios is prolific in features and has a great level of responsiveness. The primary feature that I like is the EZ Mode for it's simpleness in achiving a relatively high overclock with very few steps in getting there.
