The new updated XBox 360 revealed at E3 2013 is nothing more than a facelift. It looks more like the new XBox One, however, it has the same older already outdated hardware inside.

It's like XBox/Microsoft are just dropping the ball every which way. They need to stop smoking crack and get it together. I'd get an updated 360 if it had the hardware update that most of us WISH the XB ONE was SUPPOSE to be but, I wouldn't waste my time on a 360 with nothing more than a facelift. Can't even use the newer Kinect 2 with it.

What a complete waste of time.

XBox 1 sucks:

- PlayStation 4 (PS4) GPU has "50% more raw power"

- XBox 1 "GPU similar to the Radeon 7790"

- PS4 CPU has 25% more power

- DDR3 instead of DDR5 memory = big difference

- Only a 500g hard drive

- There is no advantage to owning an XBox 1 over a PC whatsoever.

- Kinect also not compatible with the 360

- XB1 controller reminds me of the old one from 2002 that nobody liked

- If you only have a 720p TV you'll get no use from the 1080p or Blu-Ray

- New Port on Xbox One Controller Makes it Incompatible with Current Gaming Headsets

- XBox One not compatible with 360 games

- Blocks used games and charges a "pre-owned fee"

- The XBox is $500 and the PS4 is just $399

That pretty much ruins it for me completely.

For me, I just have a 720p TV (32 inche) so, I'll get no use out of the XBox One's 1080p & Blu-Ray until I can afford a new 1080p TV.

These are all reasons why I cannot justify running out to buy an XBox One.

Look okay, but the reason for this is probably to prepare for a price drop down the line. Though I guess MS have to consider the chance that they'll be competing with their own product if they drop it too low... though maybe that's not a concern since they can keep people "in the family". I dunno.

XBox 1 sucks:

...blah blah XB1 sucks...

Did you even read the thread title? This has NOTHING to do with the XB1, this is the 360 facelift  Do you need some new glasses? Reading lessons maybe?

do you not understand how console platforms work? you really dont want to segment them.

New 360 looks better than One. Serious.

true dat yo.

I was a bit excited about the 360 redesign and would buy one if they lowered the price. As it is now I have ORIGINAL XBOX games that I cannot play since the 360 never updated the backward compat for them. Now I have a stack of soon to be useless 360 games?

I might jump on this. A bunch of my friends play Halo 4 and getting in on that LAN action would be fun.

You miss the point, troll. XBox and Microsoft have been screwing everything up lately, in case you haven't noticed. Giving the XBox 360 an XB One facelift fixes none of the problems with neither the 360 nor the XB One. My thread, I'll post whatever the hell I want.

You sir, are the troll.

Seriously... Complaining that they've given the 360 a facelift, but kept the same "outdated hardware inside?" Has the SDF been reinvigorated with the upcoming launch of new consoles, and Sony not dropping the ball this time around?

Maybe it's quieter? I'd pay $300 for a 360 quiet enough to put in the same room I game in and not have to hide it in the closet.

I'm going to play the devil's advocate here for a moment.

XBox 1 sucks:

- PlayStation 4 (PS4) GPU has "50% more raw power" True but since developers only got a half developed dev kit launch titles won't be running at their best potential so I would argue that the PS4 and Xbox One are on the same playing field graphically , for now.

- XBox 1 "GPU similar to the Radeon 7790" Again for launch titles , we really won't be able to tell a gigantic difference.

- "PS4 CPU has 25% more power" See above.

- DDR3 instead of DDR5 memory = big difference This is probably one of the few things that will make a launch day difference for developers.

- Only a 500g hard drive Both have a 500GB HD , but the PS4's is something you can upgrade where the Xbox One will be only 500GB until MS makes a larger drive available at retail.

- There is no advantage to owning an XBox 1 over a PC whatsoever. By that same argument there is no advantage to owning a PS4 at launch either. Anyone with a few brain cells knows that the PC is still the best/most sensible platform. Consoles however have exclusive titles and that's what often draws gamers like us.

- Kinect also not compatible with the 360. So? Considering the horsepower required to process what the new Kinect is doing I doubt the 360 could even handle it well.

- XB1 controller reminds me of the old one from 2002 that nobody liked. There is nothing wrong with the Xbox One controller. Anyone who liked the 360 controller (which is to say , a lot of fucking people since PC gamers often buy the USB version for PC gaming) will love the new one.

- If you only have a 720p TV you'll get no use from the 1080p or Blu-Ray. If you still have a 720p TV I feel bad for you. Upgrade , its been long enough .. there are plenty of affordable options. 1080p native consoles are upon us , get with the program.

- New Port on Xbox One Controller Makes it Incompatible with Current Gaming Headsets. This is a major downer for sure , something Microsoft could have worked out. I'm with you on this.

- XBox One not compatible with 360 games. Ok this complaint chaps my ass , its ENTIRELY a pain in the ass to keep compatibility with previous generations of consoles. Nintendo has been the only exception to the rule recently but this has to stop. If you want to play your old games , KEEP your old console. Problem solved...

- Blocks used games and charges a "pre-owned fee". Have to agree here. Its a horrible business practice that is done entirely for greed. I could rant about this for a while but its pointless now.

- The XBox is $500 and the PS4 is just $399. The smoking gun for the PS4 without question. But considering you have to pay a $5 monthly fee to play MP games on the PS4 online , its closer $460 in reality for the PS4 so the price difference isn't as great as we first thought.

That pretty much ruins it for me completely.

I would wait and pre order both consoles at this point. Its 6 months until launch , that's a long time for fans to sit and stew over those issues. I bet MS might change their tune if they see Sony getting greater pre order numbers.

I might pick one up for the couple xbox360 exclusives I've been wanting to try, like lost odyssey and...

...hm... can't remember what else, maybe it's not worth it for one game, lol

I guess the only unanswered question here is: Can I have unprotected sex with this new machine? The other iteration gave me awful STD's (Software Transmitted Diseases).

how cool would it be if ms put the start menu into the new xbox360
