Hey everyone!

I'm currently working out a new setup and I decided to go with AMD this round instead of Nvidia, the titan and 780 and 790 do look nice but I'd like to see where the other side of the table is this round.

Now I'm looking at IPS mainly because I play around with cad for fun, but I also mainly work with images, 3d Models, and I'm constantly programming.

The monitors that I'm looking at are the Asus PA248Q and the Dell Ultrasharp 2413, as they have what I need and will do great for what I do without getting into the 2K price range, not that it will be a problem if there are IPS panels that offer better color gamut and programmable luct (I think only the dell has a programmable luct not the asus, could be wrong).

The setup I'm looking at would be 5X1 or 6X1 and the card I'm looking at are the Radeon 7970 GHZ edition, while the 7990 looks nice I rather just do a crossfire config as the 7990 is underclocked (from what I've read). And I'll be doing this in portrait mode or doing 3X2 in landscape mode.

Also I will be installing a discrete sound card as well so I can't do 4 cards as I need at least one PCI-Express slot for the sound card.

Do you have any suggestions in panels? And please, no 1920x1080 panels.
The case I will be using as well as I will be most likely using 3X 7970s.

I just can't stand on board audio, but monitor suggestions are welcome. . .

Well I was going to suggest dell s2340m's or l's,

but you said no 1080p panels. I think the dell will give yu more than you need to fit your needs (which is good).

Let me also suggest that atleast one of your gpu's be from this list: Cards that support 6 displays (5 also)

I recommend a Msi 7970 BE Lightning.

Nice suggestion, but the MSI BE Lightning is discontinued, of course I'm water cooling my cards to save space I still have to fit that zxr sound card and water cooling actually saves quite a bit of space.

I'm still thinking the asus or dell as they have 1+B colors which is awesome but I think I may have to remove the bezel... But the asus has it's buttons on the bottom so if I can remove the bezel and make refit the back so it holds the monitors that would solve the bezel problem.

Still looking at IPS and with 1+B colors.

Is that your setup? If your monitors support it maybe finding 5x1 vesa mount? Looks nice but borders were not aligning.

Oh really? I just saw some on newegg last night. Crazy.

I haven't seen a tear down of the dell u2413, but if the structure of the case is similar to the u2412m, it shouldn't be too hard to remove the bezel.

Yeah that's my setup. I juat put it together a couple hours ago. It still needs further aligning.
I'm thinking of picking a better stand (the wsgf edition) that can handle 5 monitors at once. These monitors require a vesa mount adapter (which I didn't think about earlier) which add to cost.

Btw, the more monitors you can't hookup via displayport, the better. The best card would have nothing but displayports. If you want to avoid tearing from monitors using different timings per input, connect all the monitors the same way. Look into getting a dp 1.2 mst hub if the card you choose doesn't have all displayport ports.

I'll be using 2x ASUS MATRIX-HD7970-P-3GD5 in crossfire so I'll only be using displayport. Also I found the older lightning be not the new one, my bad.
