The two most popular ways to get on the list of Youngest Billionaires of 2013 ? Be a Facebook shareholder or inherit your money.

  • Mark Zuckerberg
  • Age: 28
  • Net Worth: $13.3 billion
Few CEOs of any age are under more media scrutiny than Mark Zuckerberg (who's only 8 days older than Moskovitz). Since taking Facebook public in May 2012, and getting married days later, the hoodie-wearing founder has seen his net worth rise and fall with every fluctuation of the stock price.

He'll lose most of it. How many tech bubbles need to burst before these idiots learn their lesson?

Say he loses 90% of it.

OH NO! I guess that means he can't compete in the mega-yacht world.

Eh quite a few "Inherited from..." or "Runs the family business..." type people there. They don't impress me, the GoPro guy does though, he was the only guy that popped out that makes something tangible and to make that kind of cash? That is impressive.

He could lose most of it and still be wealthy.

He certainly could. But not billionaire wealthy. It seems the vast majority of his wealth, is tied up in a website, that is hemorrhaging users at a pretty high rate. All the while, his company is changing their product, to be less user friendly, and more intrusive. My feeling is that Facebook's days are numbered.

If he cashes out while the site is relatively hot, he can still be a billionaire. Maybe not as much as in the height of it's popularity, but he'll be able to get cheese on his Whopper.

Right, that would be the smart thing to do. I'm not sure I see him doing it though.

Let's hope my mother doesn't see this article.

I can't take more conversations about "He did it, why can't you?? And he's younger!"

Wasn't there an interview awhile back saying he was very conservative with his money? He lives in an apartment still doesn't he? Not an entirely fancy one from what I recall.

Probably 1/5 of the list is connected to Facebook, 1/5 is connected to cell phones. The rest of them inherited the money.

So, you think the future of social networking is Google+ or LinkedIn? Social networking will not die, people like the concept too much ... Facebook can be a pain sometimes but it is still a convenient way to keep in contact with casual global contacts ... I don't think FB will become another Myspace but I guess time will tell

I didn't say that. I just keep reading that Facebook is losing people in droves. People left MySpace for Facebook. Look at MySpace now. It will one day happen to Facebook, of that I have no doubt. Whether that alternative exists now, or sometime in the future, is meaningless to me.

I don't know why people say he'll loose it all. Even if Facebook goes bust his money is not going to suddenly vanish. He'll just stop making more. It would take a pretty serious night of expensive hookers and blow for him to suddenly lose it all. :p

I had thought of doing "another myspace" before Facebook was made, and I regret not doing it, but at same time I applaud him for what he did. He's set for life, no matter what happens to Facebook.

I would think alot of his money is tied to their stock value, so if that plummets he would lose quite a bit. He is set for the rest of his life though, for sure.

meh why bother including inheritance kids... that doesnt really count
