I hear ya furystrike!

Why is there no warranty if its only 1.5 years old?

I have been on this HardOCP board and eBay many years. I have many positive feedbacks; I am an honest seller. If you have a questions, please feel free to ask. I have been a member of eBay and Paypal since 2002.

If you are not interested, I understand. If your comments are noncontributory, please restrain from commenting, if you can. If you can not, it is understandable. I have many patients who can not control themselves. Some impulse control disorders that I have seen includes "road rage," impulse control disorder, substance abuse, mental retardation, oppositional behavior disorder, conduction disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autistic disorder, learning disorder.

Anything else I can help you with intern Furystrike? I did not know that interns have that much time to post noncontributory comments.

I am not an IT or computer expert. I do not know about revisions, dead pixels, warranties, etc. I can send you a picture of the serial number, and you can check it yourself.

The monitor revision number is A01.

Pick up is welcome. I live close to Memphis, Tennessee.

I will be going to a Orlando, Florida and Orange County, Ca if someone wants to pick up the monitor at the hotel.

There should be a service tag number on the monitor to check the warranty.

And Im not asking you to be a computer expert, but knowing whether its in warranty or not isnt about being an expert. Its about knowing where the monitor came from. If you have the receipt and purchased it new from an authorized dealer, it most likely has the warranty.

Just asking an honest question wanting an honest answer before sending you $800.......

The monitor is sold as is. I stated this on the eBay description part. There is no warranty or receipt. The monitor works. Revision number is A01.

@Doz If you ask a serious question, then I will answer. I brought the monitor from a seller. Is the seller an authorized dealer, probably not. I never asked since I never had to deal with warranties on my electronics before. I just usually buy a new product if the electronic stops working. You can check Service Tag JV6LJN1

If you are looking for newer monitors with warranty, I am sure there are other monitors on eBay. I think the Dell u3014 has a nice warranty.

I don't really have an issue with your sale, but you do realize that you've been a member 8.5 years and apparently never post, since you're still listed as a n00bie, right? Funny to point out his low rank with your's being the lowest.

Thanks. Ill pass just based on the sellers attitude. I was asking serious questions. A monitor purchased 1.5 years ago isnt old at all, and should still have the warranty so my question was very serious and completely valid. I am looking for a monitor for a good price used in good condition but Ill look elsewhere. Obviously its a bit older than 1.5 years old and it sounds like you purchased it used. Be a bit more honest and upfront next time.

The monitor is sold as is. Is there some confusion? No Warranty!!! Is there any more information that would have change the way I sell the monitor, No. I have provided the service tag number, but as I have stated, posting the service tag does not change the way I sell the monitor because I have stated there is no warranty. Posting the service tag did not change the way I sell the monitor.

As in medicine, why run a test, when it does not change the way, I manage a patient. While it is fun to banter back and forth, I am tired.

@Citizen86 I was referring to Furystrike working 80+ per week as an internship, yet he still manages to troll on here. I was not referring to being a newbie on the HardOCP forum board.

@doz How many times do I have to say, "No warranty." How does it change the way I sell the monitor? I guess some people really can not restrain themselves. All this extra information, yet the monitor is still sold as it.

My mistake

I'm interested as to why you took pictures of it in portrait mode. Obviously I can't buy it because I'm not from the US, but are you using a custom stand? That should be in the description too.

I think you're confused. You don't have to be the person providing the warranty. The information posted clearly states there is a warranty available from Dell through February 14th, 2014. You should probably be stating that as a *positive* instead of assuming everyone is out to get you.

@ QuickSilver Tthe monitor comes with original stand. I am currently using the monitor from a Monoprice portrait stand mode, since I read a lot of documents.

I never really use any warranty on my electronics before in the past, so I never really pay a attention to it.
