Looking to pick up a card with an original reference PCB so that I can actually fit a full cover WB on it. I contacted MSI support and they told me this card... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127732 Was of reference design. 1 or 2 people on the forums have commented that they think it may not be reference.

Any of you guys that have recently purchased this card can confirm or deny?

The pic shows AMD on the PCB. That would indicate a reference design. It's a new release on Newegg. Really good chance the pic is accurate and not an older design that has been updated since release.

I've been looking at the same card. I don't remember where I read it, but there was some speculation it was a v2.0 reference.

I actually found someone who owns this card. He took it apart and confirmed it was reference 1.0

Thanks guys

If it is, that makes me happy, as it means I can possibly just grab another 7970 rather than selling my current and hoping to Titan/680 SLi (I've had some major issues finding a reference card lately)

can anyone guess if this is voltage unlocked or not?

From what ive gathered. Yes. I emailed MSI support and they said yes and it should be done in afterburner:p
