Outlook.com Contacts Question

I really like the Outlook.com format. I also have a gmail account I use for android and all my contacts. I noticed that you can add your gmail account to Outlook.com and view your contacts. This works great, except, it seems like a one-time sync and doesn't constantly update your changed gmail contacts (tested with a name change and it didn't sync).

Is there a way to make this auto update/sync to Outlook.com?

I'm in the same boat. I've just resorted to adding it both places. Is there a way to get your outlook.com contacts on your android phone?

There's google app sync, but i believe you need a paid google apps account for this to work. They were on the verge of releasing a version compatible Outlook 2013 last month. I've purchased Companionlink Google Sync as a stopgap.
