Background: Been out of gaming pretty much for almost 5 years and have recently gotten the urge to get back into it with all the great new titles. This PC will be used for gaming only and nothing else really. For reference I don't have any peripheral except a g5 gaming mouse so I have to buy "everything".

Here is everything I've put together. I want to max out everything at 2560x1600. Will one gtx 690 be able to do it? I don't plan on OCing right away but will in the future so for the time being I'm not buying an aftermarket HSF and will just use stock cooling.

Here is what I picked out:

EDIT: I also need to add a sound card and speakers to that list. Open to suggestions.

You should check the prices on the Samsung 840 pro drives. The PSU is a little overkill for that configuration. I am also under the impression that two 680s would be a better value. I don't think you can do quad 690s anyway. would consider the i5 3570k which I understand is easier to overclock.

Please answer the following questions:
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video? UEFI? etc.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? 32bit or 64bit?

However off the bat:
I would spend the extra $8 for the Core i5 3570K since it'll allow you to overclock even higher. The regular Core i5 3570 can only be OC'd by another 400Mhz.

SSD wise, I would go for the Samsung 840 Pro as well since Samsung is far more trustworthy company than OCZ.

GPU wise, I would not go for the GTX 690 since it's limited to 2GB of VRAM per GPU. So in the long run, it may not be enough. I would aim for GTX 680 4GB SLI instead.

Case wise, that case is not a good choice for the money. Here are some far better cases in terms of space, price, cable management, and cooling performance:

$110 - Corsair Carbide Series 500R ATX Case
$120 - Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Gunmetal Black ATX Case

$135 - Fractal Design Define R4 with Window Black Pearl ATX Case
